I don't like when people say "oh France bought the ref in the game against Ireland." We as fans need to believe that there is a level of fairness in every match. It was a mistake, but there's only one person to blame it on: the ref. Not France. And I don't know what would have happened if Ireland had been the one to qualify for the WC instead. I'd rather not get into that. But yes, this was all caused by a mistake, but it wasn't France's.
