  • I wouldn't install a laptop on a bobcat, an Ipod maybe,,,

  • These guys graduated from my school.

  • I am LITERALLY living this song. I swear the same person moved in next to me a few years ago...

  • Big hats and no cattle. Hell I've been keeping a coop full of about thirty chickens for the last ten years, and I don't have anywhere NEAR forty acres, maybe two acres at that. We've got plenty of these fools in my town. Big McMansions, big Hummers, all suburban, never been in the woods in their lives, listening to Tayler Swift and believing that they are real "country boys".

  • Everyone of those guys can play like the devil. I can see them holding it down to fit into the time slot. One of the best live bands I have seen. Highly recommend it!

  • @GreensongOakheart And Dale is funny as hell too!

  • I know alot of Cocky People, who has moved to the Country, where I live, who fit the slot, of this song. And they come in to a little, old, Honky-Tonk, on Dance nites, wearing their "big stetsons", boots, & think they're the definition of "Country", and probaly never ate beans, or don't know who Grandpa Jones, was, or how to swing an axe, or fry taters !

  • @glencoe6305 hee haw !!!!

  • @moesciphish ya brah. going to the next show brah? ive seen moe and cheese 'bout 700 times, been to the 'roo every year. love trey brah. dont worry bout the meaning; just share in the heady groove.

  • I'm a little confused with this one... the song doesn't sound like it has racial undertones.. but why use a play on words for "40 acres and a mule," which really only has one meaning and deals with slaves reparations for starting a farm.

  • @moesciphish You are a dumb ass!!!! Dont listen to music you dont understand!!!!!

  • @bluegrasslives60 good, well thought out answer there... so please, since I don't "understand" bluegrass after listening to it for 20 some years.. please explain the meaning of the song to me...

  • @moesciphish FORTY ACRES AND A FOOL!!! He isnt saying MULE!!!!!

  • Respond to this video...The music of poor white people, Like the blues is the music of poor black people, if you aint lived it you wont understand it!!!!!

  • @moesciphish you missed everything that this song is about

  • @moesciphish Because it rhymes and sounds cool

  • @ajferet Plus the fool is the mule :P

  • WOW!

  • That's one tight band, campers. Saw them a couple years back at the Iowa State Fair. It was about 95 degrees, but they still all wore their suits, and played one hell of a set.

  • i love how in bluegrass each member displays their musical talent in turn and no one tries to steal the show. i have a wide musical variety, but none holds more truth, real power and musical talent than bluegrass and folk. true roots, true beauty, two thumbs up.

  • thank God for marty for putting this stuff on the airwaves!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTY!

  • Heard it on XM Bluegrass a couple weeks ago and have been coming back here to listen again, love it!

  • @rdbatl Same here, this song got me hooked on Bluegrass.

  • great!

  • Brilliant.

  • Good one,

Applies to idjits out in Vegas too.

  • I know men that are described in this song.

  • this is a funny song, but a good one none the less

  • This is real good. Haven't heard Del and the boys do this number before.
