Hey man!! First thanks for checking out the video. What I used in the video is an old set of 14" Zildjian New Beat my parents bought me about 15 years ago. So that's pretty much it.

Hey Brother!! Yeah those hi hats are about 15 years old. I won't get rid of them because as they age they are starting to sound better (weird, but true) LOL. When testing out cymbals it's best to check them out on a personal level. Audio recordings are just a gauge of what they kind of sound like. With Zildjians I have found that each cymbal is unique. So go to Guitar Center, SamAsh, etc. and check them out. Trust your ears!

If you can count and ready or heck just count, he's turning the time around. The hit is not on the 1. Its more before the one. The high hats are on the up beat and he's doing a flam, but the lick sounds more like drag ratamacue fill, but the lick is cool just needs to hit on the one. But he's a good drummer. A lot of feeling, and I love his groove. Keep hitting cat. Peace!

Thanks for checking out the fill!! The fill actually does end up on the 1. The hi-hats are on the downbeats. It's just a weird phrasing that makes it seem like I'm turning the time around, however, it does end up on the one. But you can make it land wherever you'd like. It all depends on the start of the phrase. Take care and God Bless.
