@dhide and I'd like to add that when you start any job your at the bottom of the totem pole and yes we do have to work in light rain sometimes but no one really complains. Its part of job. A little less than a year and I was in air conditioned banks and condos running plenum cable and in head ends assembling smatv and qam systems. I wonder what you do for a living.
an hr. When you take all that into effect. Putting dishs together arent that bad. Its subcontracters that give Dish techs a bad reputation. Since they get paid per job, they rush through jobs leaving unapproved mounts, low signal in ranges of both qauntity and quality, unapproved grounds, and most importantly unapproved cabling such as rg-59 with low megahertz ratings. But im sure you know all about that stuff.....Walmart Greeter
@dhide14 become a Tier 3 Commercial/Wildblue Internet/ MDU Servicer/Installer - Technician/Manager Trainer. There's alot of other accolades to list but you wouldn't understand half of them. The truth is..REAL DISHNETWORK techs are very serious about what they do since along with a company vehicle and a decent base pension with benefits, they are provided a very generous bonus program based upon a rating assigned to every aspect of there job. Even entry level tech can earn up to 8 dollars extra
@dhide14 you obvioulsy have little knowledge about anything. Techs dread coming across pple like. In tech terms you would be considered a power user - a know-it-all that knows nothing. Don't bellitle a job that you havent a clue about nor could perform daily. I know female tech with more balls than you. Grown men with degrees fail at this job, I would much rather train a young kid outta highschool. Did I say train? Yes, because I am tech who went through extensive tests and courses to -
LOL, oh, your like the people who do their own installations that break in one year that we have to come back and reinstall for them. Then when we ask "Wow, who was out here last, must have been a rookie... Do you know what his name was?" Thats your cue to say "I don't know, but it didn't seem like he knew what he was doing..." Oh yeah, I hate the sub zero temps here in Florida, icicles on my junk I tell ya... Go back to Walmart and greet people at the door. This vid obviously isn't about Dish
this is an absolutely SHIT job. (You don't even need a high school degree to install dishes)..... and having to work in shitty weather and shitty buildings, it gets old quick. I liked installing my own dish, and wiring my entire house MYSELF (would never let a "tech" touch anything in my home).......but I could not imagine doing that EVERY SINGLE DAY!! Must be a blast putting together those dishes every day, and running cable in sub zero temps....LOL....pathetic
