Can you play Japanese games with an R4? I just ordered one and am getting some games for it before it arrives and I wanted to know if I can play Japanese titles as well as North American.

i got the boomerang in the fire temple but the little black box in the top right corner has a red dash through it and i cant use the boomerang. i have no idea why this is there and i cant get it to go away. Is there something wrong with the game?
It might be becuz i used an action replay in this game but i dunno..
You get it in one of the first temples. I speak no Japanese so it was hard to figure out what to do. I quit playing this because I got stuck so I'm just waiting for the US version to be released.
Ok, I got the boomerang in the fire temple, and then went back to the first island and I did a dungeon where I the Phantom Hourglass and a new map, but I can't go there yet because there's some twister blocking the way on the water.
Which flashcard do you use? The problem is probably that you don't have the latest kernel update. You might have to go to the flashcard's website and download it.

Yo mrspock i have an r4 too but i cant download this game everytime i start it it says: COULD NOT READ DATA where did you download it

I downloaded it from nds-rom dot com but that site does not seem to work anymore.
Try romulation dot net (you have to make an account but it has very fast downloads)
Or maybe try dashroms dot com.
If this does not work, go to the R4DS website and download the latest R4 update.
