The gun does not shoot that fast, if u notice even the people in the background are running to fast and the flags are blinking to fast. The one shot one kill guy was already hurt of course. But even if a gun is over powered u still have to be able to aim lol. I see alot spraying and praying with this gun but a few well placed shots from the M16 shuts them up real quick.
The m60 does shoot the 7.62 which is the same as th m14/m21 and other sniper rifles use. And i looks like that model has a 22 inch barrel which give it the accuracy. But that is just my input

so i played the first 6 goldstars before the patch and killing with this weapon was really easy but after the patch it is hard to kill an enemy because you need a lot of hits
the only way I see it can be overpowered is from you knowing exactly where to shoot with the orange triangles does not help your arguement play HC with it and see, is my opinion. And don't say oh then it takes less bullets to kill, no you have to find them first.
It's been nerfed, you don't have perfect aim shot after each shot now. On full auto the gun has tremendous recoil. Good thing for the patch, I hated noobs who put mag and 4x scope on this gun on hardcore; fucking noobs. Although I still believe it should be slightly more powerful then your average assult rifle since it is a machine gun firing larger rounds.

The M60's problem is it deals too much damage. All Machine guns are meant for support but all people do is sit there and spray waiting for that kill count. I think they need to mess with it's damage and not it's fire rate. I'd like to see the F2000 and the M60 switch personally.
It looks like the sniper was probably already injured in this case, but I do think that the M60 is overpowered. The amount of damage is does is quite realistic, but it's not in line with the other LMGs which do not have realistic damage. Basically, the M60's damage in regular mode seems like the damage you see in Hardcore mode.
I rarely play the Medic kit because I think it's boring, but when I do I usually use the M60 for it's ridiculous power.
It is not OP. You cant kill in one shot anyone with full HP if its not hardcore mode. The max damage for the M60 is 20 & the min is 16.7. That means even if you did shot him in the head (which you didnt) it would do 42 max damage or 35 min damage. Both are not one shot one kill since everyone has 100 HP. The sniper you saw was almost dead and you just finished him.
@DimDima The actual weapon itself is OPed. You have 100 rounds with a lot of damage, it only takes four shots to down someone. It's range can compete, with any competent marskman, with a sniper rifle. That's the problem, aside from being the MG with the most damage it's also accurate and at a certain point range for the weapon meets an equilibrium. In fact the drop-off of damage on the Machine guns in general is higher than that of Assault Rifles; there's a problem with that.
@Symbiote88 This isn't real life dude. A shotgun can kill someone up to a hundred feet with patience. This is a game, games require balance or else they're unplayable. The M60 isn't game breaking but it's an issue when it can easily over power a sniper at sniping distances in the hands of a marskman. That's not legit, that's just laziness in not coding the MGs properly.

The coders coded the gun as close to life as they could. Maybe that means it isn't balanced. But what's the option? Authentic, or Balanced? I would rather have developers focusing their efforts on making authentic weapons, not balanced ones. But that's just my opinion.

And when you are ingame next time try and look at your team mates if they are hit by a bullet, their health goes down, then after a while the bar over their head starts to fill up again = regaining heal.

@cypherdk85 Even with magnum ammo, the maximum damage the M60 can do (with a single shot) is 52.5, and that's close up damage, with headshot. You cannot one shot with the M60, unless you're close up on hardcore.

The M60 uses the 7.62x51, the same round as the M24. It is very likely that the 60 could "one shot one kill" from that distance.

there are only 2 noobweapons in the game: cg and 40mm grante (and Gol at hc for the noob snipers...)
and if you have skill and hit the enemy every weapon can kill with a few shots in less than 3secondes

No its not overpowered..... you talking about overpowered weapons?? How about Abakan An94 ? That has higher damage than M60 and 2 bullet burst, which takes enemies down in a second... How about Carl Gustav G2 ?? When it hits the ground even if you 50 feet away you still will die.... how about any noobtube 40mm granade launcher ?? which is the most deadly weapon in closs combat..
people should stop compalining, or stop playing bad company, otherwise we run out of weapons in this game.

no it isn't dumbfuck the 1 shot kill was bcuz he was already hurt plus it took u like 20 bullets 2 kill every1 else it only take like 5 bullets with other guns even a sidearm can kill some1 in under 10 bullets much faster than m60

The M60's problem is it deals too much damage. All Machine guns are meant for support but all people do is sit there and spray waiting for that kill count. I think they need to mess with it's damage and not it's fire rate. I'd like to see the F2000 and the M60 switch personally.

It looks like the sniper was probably already injured in this case, but I do think that the M60 is overpowered. The amount of damage is does is quite realistic, but it's not in line with the other LMGs which do not have realistic damage. Basically, the M60's damage in regular mode seems like the damage you see in Hardcore mode.
I rarely play the Medic kit because I think it's boring, but when I do I usually use the M60 for it's ridiculous power.

It is not OP. You cant kill in one shot anyone with full HP if its not hardcore mode. The max damage for the M60 is 20 & the min is 16.7. That means even if you did shot him in the head (which you didnt) it would do 42 max damage or 35 min damage. Both are not one shot one kill since everyone has 100 HP. The sniper you saw was almost dead and you just finished him.
Nothing is OP about the M60.

@DimDima The actual weapon itself is OPed. You have 100 rounds with a lot of damage, it only takes four shots to down someone. It's range can compete, with any competent marskman, with a sniper rifle. That's the problem, aside from being the MG with the most damage it's also accurate and at a certain point range for the weapon meets an equilibrium. In fact the drop-off of damage on the Machine guns in general is higher than that of Assault Rifles; there's a problem with that.

@Symbiote88 This isn't real life dude. A shotgun can kill someone up to a hundred feet with patience. This is a game, games require balance or else they're unplayable. The M60 isn't game breaking but it's an issue when it can easily over power a sniper at sniping distances in the hands of a marskman. That's not legit, that's just laziness in not coding the MGs properly.

@FatalFist But in the same way it's not laziness. Laziness would mean that every LMG would shoot like a LMG is "supposed" to shoot (i.e. High fire rate, low accuracy and damage). The coders coded the gun as close to life as they could. Maybe that means it isn't balanced. But what's the option? Authentic, or Balanced? I would rather have developers focusing their efforts on making authentic weapons, not balanced ones. But that's just my opinion.

I had a worser knife fail. I was in the stairs of the construction site (That 4-floored building) and an enemy and I were stuck in the stairs. I thought he was my teammate so I knifed him as a sign of backing away. It turned out he was my enemy because that guy died!

@Grosis4 Ok, when i saw the sniper i started with 1 shot at him, that shot missed, the next shot i fired hit him and killed him, if you put the quality on 720p you can see the other bullets fired in my crosshairs from my team isnt hitting him, thus my one shot killed him.
And when you are ingame next time try and look at your team mates if they are hit by a bullet, their health goes down, then after a while the bar over their head starts to fill up again = regaining heal.

Besides im in the AoC expansion beta atm so i'm not having any time to play BC2.

@cypherdk85 Even with magnum ammo, the maximum damage the M60 can do (with a single shot) is 52.5, and that's close up damage, with headshot. You cannot one shot with the M60, unless you're close up on hardcore.
