  • This is $900 a month? That is not bad for a 3 bedroom apartment. I saw one on Youtube that was $1,400 a month that had one bedroom/living room.

  • tht fridge is awesome!!

  • @toddatron

Nice big apt & wicked fridge for Japan or anywhere for that matter.

Plastic tubing for gas lines? Learn a new building code every day.

Always interesting to learn about required purchases & expected use of property in different countries ie: fridge, stove, shelving, lockset. Every day wear & tear, bummer you can't paint.

I believe that's how IKEA originated with it's modular furniture. Traditionally many Europeans used to take their kitchen cabinets with them when they moved.

  • that lock can be picked in a few minuts

    dimple locks suck.

  • @vorkev1 Really? Well don't live there any more... thanks for the tip. What about the usual house locks? Schlage and such?

  • @toddatron truley any lock can be picked buy want you want to look for is a new type of lock wich actuley hase the key at more of a angel and everything is closer to gether makeing it unpickable. but as i was tought thare is actuley no lock that cant be picked if the right tool is made.

  • Amazing fridge!!! I would love to know where this recycle center is. Very very very informative THANK YOU SOO MUCH for uploading this

  • I would love to live in a place like yours. About how much was everything in total. Furniture and utilities and all. And how long did it take you to save up to move there?

  • What was the cost of that fridge?

  • @dogpup23 Just under 200000yen or 2 thousand USD

  • I have since bought a house. I am here for the long term:) The house vids are posted and there are 7 so far:) Check them out! Cheers! I am an ALT for now cause that's all I can do for work.

  • @toddatron What's an ALT?

  • Alternative Language Teacher (I think)

    He teaches English I assume.

  • that is the nicest fridge I have ever seen

  • i agree i like your fridge

  • This is a random question, but how much was your fridge? Can you find fridges in Japan for a fairly reasonable price? Also, do a lot of apartments come with fridges? Thank you for posting this video. It is a lot of help!

  • i wish thay had them friges in canada o.o

  • Thanks for your fantastic info. But luckily I had already been in Japan for 2 years before I rented my own apartment (instead of taking my company's apartment). So I already knew a lot of information about renting my own apartment. I did find it hard though, trying to find a landlord that would allow me to rent their apartment. If I didn't have a Japanese guarantor, it would have been impossible. Plus I needed something pet friendly. But I am so happy with my apartment and I live in a quiet area

  • Thanks for a most excellent comment. Glad you had a good experience over all:)

  • @toddatron hey thanks bro really good video!!

  • Cool command center :]

  • Yea a lot of people like that fridge. I do not think they would have them in the states but similar ones that cost a fortune. Its funny the fridge is half plastic and super efficient. To bad they run on 100 volts 50cycles else you could export them.

    Cheers

  • That fridge is too cool. I wonder if they have them in the US. Will check it out.

  • I live in Saitama. I can't really reveal any more than that sorry. I am about 45 minutes from deep Tokyo via train.

  • Where in japan do you live?

  • Yea its awesome but it runs on 100volts 50hz:( wont work in the states. They really should export them someday with compatible power requirements. Its a SHARP.

  • that fridge is...BADASS! lol i want one

  • Thanks it took a little getting used to as a spoiled westerner I had 8 rooms in my APT back home but now its all I need

    cheers

  • You have a nice, BIG place, unlike my tiny apartment in Kyoto

  • Thanks... yea the fridge rocks been using it allot and no dissapointments there... SHARP has a nice line of them

  • okay your apartment tour vid is by far my fave one yet! i cant wait until me and my fiancee move to japan, idk when or how lol, but we sure wanna go! but ur vid was very informative and u actually took your time to go thru stuff, not rush thru it like others. i like videos of apartments n ppl take their time, it makes u feel like ur actually in the apartment....LOVE THE FRIDGE!!!

  • who do you live with there?

  • My wife...... she is in some of my vids

  • Dayuuum. I gotta get a fridge like that! *o*

  • Yea ... they have had these here for years... I am suprised and not suprised that they do not have these in the states. Upfront they are pricey but they save a bundle in the long run ...electrical costs and food lasting longer that any fridge I ever owned in the states. Hey love your totally mental blogggggs... I laughed, got angry, and cheered.... heh refreshing...

  • those aren't my blogs. those belong to my fave youtuber by the name of theamazingatheist. although he's angry, he has quite a bit of good points to make about religion, society, and politics. also, they don't have fridges here in the usa like the one at your place because here, they want to make sure we keep buying. afterall, how do you make money on products that last long? me and my mom have to buy a new fridge soon, and the last dryer we had lasted for 27 years. that's older than me. *o*

  • also, the last fridge we had lasted for 16 years. it was an awesome fridge. ;__;

  • breeze way... awesome. Had never heard that term. great way to rehash a topic that as you say has been done but I think its how you do it, not if its been done as youve shown with this video. As a long term resident I was surprised by some of the stuff you noticed in this vid.

  • An episode on electricity is coming as I am an electrician.... Some may find it boring but ther are some tech heads out there that may find it cool.

  • Oh yea and thanks for all the comments dude. Hey what is the Japanese word for DUDE! if any exsist........

  • Go for boring... if thats boring to you, other people will find it fascinating. As bizarre as that is its other peoples typical that some find unusual.

  • Hey quick question..... nothing to do with this video: What do you use for a video editor??? I really hate WMM its crashy and laggy and has issues..... I noticed you had good text and stuuf on your vids.

  • final cut pro (sometimes Avid for shits and giggles), it rocks... but Ive grown up on video editing. Ive been video editing since I was 10. So my depth of knowledge on editing is similar to yours on electricity. Its not just a hobby for me. I would reccommend FCP but it takes a brief mental retraining period to get how to use it. And that turns some people off of it... my father for example. I cant get him to switch over. But Id say the software you use should be purpose driven.

  • Yea thanks but I found that Final cut is only available on MAC... I grabbed cyberlink Power director 6 and its better than WMM by far...not as spify as FC but all I need.....

    Talk to you later bro........

  • OOSHI! HAMAS.
