Hank III is the real deal... Saw him in Morgantown, WV at 123 Pleasant. It was an awesome show! He even brought Jesco and Mamie with him. He is one of the few shows out there today that is actually worth paying to see.

It's eerie how much I relate to this song. I wandered the US via freight and thumb strung out on whiskey and heroin trying to find something worth living for. I finally came back to Seattle and asked an old friend how she got sober. We started hanging out, I finally got away from bad habits, we started a relationship, things were finally looking good. On June 24 2010 she was killed in a workplace accident. This song although sad has helped me immensely. RIP you are gone but never forgotten

I love his honkey tonk stuff, (and his hellbilly stuff rocks), but I find myself listening to this track more than any of his others off the new album. It could be right out of the mid 70s... Hell... this may be one of my favorite tunes by him now. I never knew he could ballads as well as this.... Saw him live 2 nights ago, took my father aged 69 who grew up on his granddaddy's music, and my father was blown away. He said it was like looking at a ghost. Keep it real Hank!
