mathcore is basically music that seems to have like no order or pattern until you listen to it for a while (The Number 12 Looks Like You, PsyOpus, Behold The Arctopus)

Grindcore is really controversial , the 1st type is bands like Napalm Death (thier old stuff), which is basically bad recorded Death Metal/Deathcore, the second type is music similar to this that is really fast and with los of that fast tap picking/sweep guitar and blast beats/gravity blasts on drums (check Beneath The Massacre)
