This is a remake of a 1997 HBO made-for-tv movie of the same name, with the same basic idea, and many of the same actors, but he had millions of dollars, yet George still proved that HBO can make something better then Lucasfilms on a lower buget. the 1997 Red Tails was good, the 2012 one is terrible. (not to mention that the dialoge was terribly executed and it is rascist towards Germans). Lucas said no studio would take it, and that was for a good reason.

The Red Tails is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It managed to capture the passion and the bigotry that blacks had to tolerate while demanding the right to die for their country in combat. That same bigotry is still with us today, although not as intense. Every American should see this movie, especially every black Americans for the pride that it should instill in every American. The visual and sound effects were excellent and the acting very professional.

I agree, the acting/dialogue was extremely cheezy. But honestly besides that, I really loved this movie, and so did my dad. The visual and sound effects were really awesome. Oh, but the ending was very disappointing. I was surprised it was over. It kind of left me hanging.

Not once in the film did I ever feel the actors were in danger! They all just sat in their cockpits clean as a whistle with perfect crest white teeth while reading their script as if they were ordering a caramel latte at starbucks! No joke! The real Tuskegee Airmen deserve to have their amazing story told in a first-class motion picture. It's a real pity this isn't it.

I thought the movie was good. I would give it like a 3.5 out of 5. If you look at the impact these men had on the war along with the action flick its good. I can see how it's hard to look at the overall of the movie, but it's much better than what top critics are saying. Not the best war movie, but I feel I got my money's worth.

I loved the movie on HBO, The Tuskeegee Airmen. I thuoght this might be a better version of that. But now I realize it's a crappy Lucasized version of that.
all the bad things that most people point out were in the prequels annoying characters (jar jar) plot holes ("trooper this doors locked" other trooper "ok move on") were also in the originals (ewoks/ovbious hole in the death star)
The best star wars media project to date is probably the clone wars series everyone underestimates it because it's a cartoon and therefore is supposed to be for kids and that my friends is a very retarted assumption. Watch the clone wars from season 3 or earlier.

There was a time when I saw Lucas as an artist.The work he created I considered art. It's been difficult for me to come to the conclusion that he is merely a producer/merchandiser. There comes a point when a true artist will step away from his/her work and not come back to it but a producer/merchandiser will always be looking to sell. Makes me sad.

First dialogue :the originals had some bad dialogue ,the casting could not better a mean liam nieson, sam jackson, chirstopher lee, you not like because its not a cookie cutter copy of the originals.

Am I the only one who will defend the prequels? Maybe its cause I'm 16 and I grew up with all 6 movies collectively but come on they were pretty good! George Lucas came up with the story of Indy 4. Spielberg really didn't want to do it because of the aliens. For the fact he's done a few alien movies already. Lucas fought for the story and won out. Ford and Spielberg both take blame for the movie being bad. We're more forgiving to Spielberg though because he doesn't go around changing his iconic movies all the time and at least still makes some pretty great movies.

The big deal about this movie is much bigger than people realize... I hate to use race but really no n words or any thing people let's be adults... Aside from a movie with will smith studios aren't going to put up the money for a action film with a black cast... The movie is so over the top its ridiculous..
1 plane took out an entire battleship.. without using bombs.
2 planes took out an entire airbase... without. fucking. bombs.
The Nazi "villain" is so cliché. The only character development he had was a scar on his face!
The dialogue was atrocious.. so was the acting.. There were more awkward pauses in this than the last airbender. That's disturbing.
The effects were cartoonish.
Cardboard cutouts have more depth than the characters.
It sucks.

I thought the movie was good. I would give it like a 3.5 out of 5. If you look at the impact these men had on the war along with the action flick its good. I can see how it's hard to look at the overall of the movie, but it's much better than what top critics are saying. Not the best war movie, but I feel I got my money's worth.

when i saw the trailer, i said "this is going to be agood movie but with potential" mainly because i thought that they wouldnt take as serious serious as they should have script wise, if they would have been serious they could of made one of the best movies ive seen in a while but it is a let down with the script, it is really entertaining though

all the bad things that most people point out were in the prequels annoying characters (jar jar) plot holes ("trooper this doors locked" other trooper "ok move on") were also in the originals (ewoks/ovbious hole in the death star)
The best star wars media project to date is probably the clone wars series everyone underestimates it because it's a cartoon and therefore is supposed to be for kids and that my friends is a very retarted assumption. Watch the clone wars from season 3 or earlier.

There was a time when I saw Lucas as an artist.The work he created I considered art. It's been difficult for me to come to the conclusion that he is merely a producer/merchandiser. There comes a point when a true artist will step away from his/her work and not come back to it but a producer/merchandiser will always be looking to sell. Makes me sad.

Am I the only one who will defend the prequels? Maybe its cause I'm 16 and I grew up with all 6 movies collectively but come on they were pretty good! The script needs work but I really do think people are underrating these films. Also, I have the upmost respect for people like you guys who simply and formally express our opinions on the matter. George Lucas came up with the story of Indy 4. Spielberg really didn't want to do it because of the aliens. For the fact he's done a few alien movies already. Lucas fought for the story and won out. Ford and Spielberg both take blame for the movie being bad. We're more forgiving to Spielberg though because he doesn't go around changing his iconic movies all the time and at least still makes some pretty great movies.

The big deal about this movie is much bigger than people realize... I hate to use race but really no n words or any thing people let's be adults... Aside from a movie with will smith studios aren't going to put up the money for a action film with a black cast...
