This company hunts for companies that they believe are infringing on their client's trademark. This is apparently not a reliable company because if they checked out rock art brewery's website they would have noticed that there was no case.
Now if Rock Art starts packaging rodents in their beer, I could see Monster having a infringement case. I guess Monster got the BrewDog technique backwards, you’re supposed to put the packaged product inside the rodent, as opposed to the rodent being packages in the product.

I think the reason Monster is doing this, is not so much that their business is affected by a beer company from the use of the name, even if it's just part of a name.
I think it's sort of a childish resentment that this beer company would benefit from all of Monster's several years long effort of marketing and their popularity - the work they'd done and money they spent to associate "monster" with beverage.

I used to believe whole-heartedly in ideal american dream as you still do, but the reality is, this country has been hijacked by its own lawyers, and this example is just the tip of the iceberg. I personally can't stand all these energy drink companies and all they stand for. What you should do is contact their competitors and see if they will help contribute some money to your cause. I'm sure they would love to see monster energy (liquid shit in a can) competitors waste a ton of time and resources chasing down a legal battle instead of competing with them.

I think the reason Monster is doing this, is not so much that their business is affected by a beer company from the use of the name, even if it's just part of a name.
I think it's sort of a childish resentment that this beer company would benefit from all of Monster's several years long effort of marketing and their popularity - the work they'd done and money they spent to associate "monster" with beverage.

tauring is just an amino acid. Your body makes tons of them. All of the stuff in energy drinks have been available as nutritional supplements. There is no antifreeze (ethylene glycol), embalming agents, or window washing chemicals. Your heart raced because energy drinks are loaded with caffiene and other stimulants. None of which are as strong as common prescriptions such as amphetamines (adderal) or methylphenadate (ritalin).

Something I just thought of, Monster has done this similar thing to multiple companies, I wonder if there is anyway all of these companies monster is trying to order a cease and desist on, could collectively sue Monster for their rights to use the name as well, and thereby making it a little more affordable for all of you smaller guys to enter in to the legal proceedings.

Don't Stop the Fight. Principle is priority, however the Justice System is a scary thing to count on nowadays. There are laws and then proceedings, but in the middle the Lawyers muck everything to hell. You may spend your entire life and your entire savings trying to prove your principal (which I respect) but in the end you could lose due to some B.S. procedural complication. My Father is currently giving up his similar legal battle because he can't afford 2 keep up with each new motion.

What a PATHETIC company Monster energy drinks is, I don't drink the stuff to begin with as it's full of crap your body doesn't want nor need, But I've heard of them doing this before with Monster Cables, the stereo system cable manufacturer. They know they don't have a right to the name, for some reason they are willing to spend the money pursing any business in any sector that comes close to resembling the monster name.
