Man, Britten really nails the ends of his operas, doesn't he? The other opera I've heard from him is Curlew River, and the climax of that is every bit as powerful as this one. The man was just brilliant!

I enjoyed watching this. I have another version on DVD, but this is great! The miming doesn't detract for me. I like Britten too, being a Brit for one thing.
