  • I need a setting in England for my book that has rolling grassy hills, lots of full trees and is close to a small village. Is Derbyshire like that or is it all bare moors.

  • @DreamPrincess010 I think the answer to your question is in the film.

  • @moontide266 You could try Google Earth and enter Jaggers Lane in the search box. Otherwise try searching Google images for Hathersage. It's amazing what you can find this way.

  • Dios mío,es precioso :') *-*

Me encantan charlotte y Jane eyre <3

  • I AM going there.

  • i wanna go there :)

  • I'm so grateful and happy! Thank you for making this film!

  • Thanks julia59. Pleased you liked it.

  • Hi/Thank you for the lovely images./One little comment: my, how the birds sing! I live in Montréal, and the only time where you hear birds singing like this in the city is in the spring./I have often wondered if some sound engineering had been done for all these JE productions -- now after your video, I see that the birdsong is real!/Sorry if I sound silly./Hope to visit the place one day. Perhaps once I have finished my doctorate./Cheers.

  • Thanks for your comment bp1963p. I have to admit to a little 'sound engineering' myself on this video. However the chime of the church clock is as recorded live in the churchyard. Sorry to disappoint ...

  • Hi Lauren,

Thanks for your comment. This film was shot during a day out to Derbyshire (I live four hours drive away). Most of what I shot is in the film so I can't provide any more images of Hathersage. Maybe someone who lives in the area will see this and post a video ...

  • Great video to see, I was brought up around there so its a nice reminder.

  • Pretty place

  • wonderfull wonderful :O

    thank u very much

  • Thanks for the comments.

Yes ShodieSaner, I did film it myself.

  • Did you film this yourself?

  • I felt almost as if I were walking with Charlotte Bronte. Thank you so much for this.

  • That was lovely. I am very jealous. There are so many places in England I am longing to visit, and this is definitely one of them. It's not hard to see why so much vivid literature emerged from the English moors.

  • wonderful! I have the need to return to this beautiful dramatic place. It certainly suits my personality and I can walk where the Brontes walked

  • Thank you for making this. I was wondering what the countryside really did look like.

  • Thanks for your comment 1dyslexia1.
