Not to offend present day soldiers but he marines of World War II and the Philippine Scouts were far more daring than these guys. The guys here were penned down by small arm fires for 4 hours. Back then the officers would have been court martialed.

Yea I noticed how combat infective the troops were from what I can tell there was no causulties so far in the vid ...nobody seemed to try and take initiative by flanking where the fire is - they seem luck y that the ambush didnt come with land mines on that road and hand grenades thrown in for go measure.

But If I were a platoon leader I wouldn't just lay down my troops there, I'll fight. At least do what the book says, flank the enemy, take the initiative whatever, not just wait for 4 hours, it's not in the book ha ha a!!!

We lost a man in boot camp as well. He was killed by a bad batch of C4 during a breaching accident.
