@GameRemix lol the Phenom 965 dosent destroy anything intel has out? are you crazy? the Phenom 965 is basically neck and neck with a Q9550, and the i7? please.
They're neck and neck silly... If you like hyperthreading for movie ripping and shit buy intel, if you want cheap get AMD. I have AMD and love it, but Intel has higher OC's on those i7's...
Theyre not neck and neck you fucking moron australian.
If your some idiot who thinks paying 500+ for Gaytels flagship only for a 10% increase in power, when you could spend the 500 on an SSD and totally destroy the Intel rig....GTFO
People who buy intel dont know anything about computers.
lol... chill out. First of all, I'm American. Second, you don't buy the highest i7, they all OC the same (for the most part). You buy the 920 which is $280. I never said their prices were good or fair, I was just saying that they are equal in power. Also, the i7 has more cache and can hyper thread, which is why it is better than Phenom II's for movie ripping and compiling. It also has HyperBoost, which overclocks the most active core up to 20% and decreases the other cores for faster processing.
Finally, SSD's don't compute to framerate, just loading speed. With $500 I'd rather buy 2 5870's after Fermi is released. The only reason you get Intel is if you are looking to maximum overclock 200-400 mhz faster than AMD and you can't live without having the best components. I know guys who do that. It's their hobby. I like my AMD and ATI because they're just a slight notch slower and 60% more affordable hands down, no need to get your knickers in a twist.
lol k bro and sorry for cussing at you, i was expecting you to flip out and cuss me back, but you kept your cool, anyways yeah man it doesnt matter to me if you like Intel or AMD.
I myself will be an AMD fan since i needed a computer last year when i was broke and didnt have a lot of money for a computer, i didnt buy a rig since yeah i didnt have the cash, but now i do and well AMD had given me the option for a computer when i was down in the dumps, i still am, im in FAGstralia atm. anyways k.
There are different kinds of pipelines for different CPU architectures, what is your point here? All that truly matters as far as the average gaming consumeris concerned is how fast it will crunch Crysis... In this case, Phenom II is about as fast as the i7, however, the new 980x i7 rapes lol, I mean just rapes....
@bsharp74653 yeah right. I did go with a phenom II 965 but intel is way better for overclocking. the i7-920 can go from 2.6ghz to 4.5ghz on air no problem...
Not really. You get more bang for your buck out of AMD. Intel charges way too much for something that is just as good as AMD. The only thing better than AMD cpus at this point is the i7, and no one can afford those, so most people just get a Phenom II.
@Pee1314 you have to learn the concept of how hard it is to make money im sure your mom and dad gave you money or your some old fuck still living at your parents.
actaully I made my own money and spent my hard earned money. I haven't got allowance for years. I go to college and I'm not old. I think you should ask yourself that question. I worked hard in school to get a coop position that paid me well to get what i have. You trolling on youtube is pathetic, you should find a real job.
Have you ever thought that maybe "Pee1314 is just richer than your ass lol no offence....i do not care how much cash i made though i would never buy a intel...i am not stupid enough to pay for something equal to amd.
I know you just said it really hostile thats all...thats how crazy comment wars get started. And i hate those...they go on longer than the war in the middle east ;p
I would highly recommend you get a 5770, 5850, 5870 or wait till fermi comes out...i think its called fermi..if i am wrong please forgive me i am a ATI user. But i do not think it is wise to get a last gen card this late in the game, you will most def have to upgrade in the near future. I hope that helps and let me know what you decide.
This isn't true at all...the the i5 750 outperforms everything AMD has as well, and the i3 530 dominates its price bracket. Only the high end Phenom II's beat it. AMD has the rest of the market though, since Intel doesn't offer anything besides that Pentium under $120.
AMD and Intel are equal on almost all fronts...That is a illiterate accusation you made. Intels best i7 might be a tich faster than the best amd proc but the inflammation in price is obsurde .
I am rocking the same mobo with a q6600 quad core O/C'ed to 3.0ghz per core with 4gb of OCZ fatality 1066 ram and I am considering a 9600 gso 512 gddr3 with 128-bit interface. The card would cost me 50 bucks and it's pretty much all I have to spend for the moment. I hope the card performs well. Any suggestions?
80-90 degrees? dude mine runs 77 degrees and 80 at load.. for antec 900 tower :D Muwahahah! :D i guess everyone's tower is different and how you set up your cable managment too.. :D
I made a computer VERY similar to yours for around $500. AMD Phenom 9600+ Quad Core Black Edition, Foxconn M61PMV Socket AM2+ Mother, nVidia GeForce 9500GT 1GB Video, 4 GB (2x2GB) PC6400 DDR2 1066 Dual Channel Ram, SAMSUNG 22x DVD Recorder Dual Layer, 5.1 Channel High Def. Sound Card, 2x Bank Western Digital 1TB HDD, 530W PSU, Black Logisys Case-51 w/ 80mm LED fan. It'll get up and go! Nice computer btw!

I have yet to see any
Legitimate proof of the I7 being
able to outperform a Phenom II
a I7 still can't handle as much
as a Phenom II can due to AMD has
double the pipelines as a Intel
