My parents had this album when I was growing up, and this was my favorite track - by the time I graduated high school in 1980, it seemed my parents and I were the only people who knew this. My wonderful husband of 23 years, however has joined in the madness. Never fails to bring a smile to my face!
Never heard of this until I saw this: gocomics.com/muttandjeff/2011/05/10/ Now, my question is, which came first, this Smothers Brothers bit, or the Mutt & Jeff comic strip?
Well, I guess my life is not complete. I've never fallen or otherwise got myself into a vat of chocolate. This vid is hilarious and priceless. Guess what my next goal will be???!!! Thanks for this posting.
I had this on the Two Sides of the Smothers Brothers, lead track, played it over for any of my friends that came over, always a hit when I was little too.
When I was in 4th grade, my Music teacher played this and I've always thought this was the most funniest thing a teacher has ever showed me. I've remembered it to this day.
I yelled FIRE because no one would save me if I yelled CHOCOLATE!!! My family still sings this!! I sent this song to my customer at M & M Mars..he had never heard it. LOVED IT!
Ever since I heard it on the Dr. Demento show years ago! I was way to young when I started watching re runs of the Smother Brothers and just love their stuff!
I used to have this album & listened to it thousands of times. It's funny I remember it so clearly that I can tell that my player ran a little slower than yours.
