I met him once - when he was in a band called Samson. They were supporting Uriah Heep in Cardiff, S Wales. He was in the bar while the headliners were on and me, him and my mate talked for about 30 minutes. In fact he still owes me a pint. Also - he told us that their band's van was called Bertie!
