  • @icemuffin Indeed!

  • Amazing!!!!!

  • @ranmaz76 Thanks man!

  • i love last ninja 1 2 3

  • @SuperEltincho Me too. Lots of nice tracks in there!

  • 30 000 views! Wohoo! Now rush the next 30 000.

  • I came!

  • @bakalla00 Good for you! ;)

  • Very cool.. ..!

  • Wow great piece of music and very energetic! Nicely played!

  • @Spaceinfaders Thanks man!

  • GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

    I love Last ninja 2!

  • Man, that is so bad-ass!!

Brings back so many wonderful memories. Even though game music these days is all done with big movie-style orchestras there's something about the old C64 games music that still can't be topped.

They just had better tunes, I guess. Those themes had to be memorable due to the limitations of the tech.

  • @RolandDeschain1 Thanks Roland!

  • Nooooooo dont let them be simply doomed to Zx Spectrum Hell, let's take it a step further and make it a ZX80/81......

    Do you dig it?

  • @earthwalker007 OK, let's turn them into ZX80's - THEN doom them to Spectrum hell! *Insert evil laugh here*

  • The top band in the world for c64 music.

    You guys rock!

  • @Nebrox Thanks man!

  • SUPERB!!!! ROCK'N ROLL FOR NERDS:) I realy hope they will re-launche these games and these boys will do the soundtrack:) Good old days:)

  • @riclyd1978 Rock'n Roll for nerds... Spot on! :)

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the song of my life. I remember all days with Last Ninja 2!!!!

  • Let the Ninja kill the 8 people who disliked it

  • @xaerom That's a little extreme. Let the ninja bitch-slap them two or three times. If they still haven't learned anything after that, they will be doomed to forever dwell in ZX Spectrum hell.

  • I'm pretty sure the score from the game is based on Paranoid by Grand Funk Railroad.

  • @nicebloke666 Yeah, Matt definitely got inspiration from that [great] song.

  • @nicebloke666 Well I never knew that! What a great song that is too, cheers for the tip off!!

  • CLASSIC!

  • yeah!!! brings back memories. when you guys play in holland?

  • @haytionette We played there in October last year, but unfortunately have no new gigs booked.

  • oh man, this is so cool. I love it!

  • class:)

  • My childhood in 6 minutes. How can I thank... I mean... worship you?

  • @dummychaos Come next time we play, ask for our autographs and do the "I'm not worthy" thang. ;)

  • @AndreasWallstrom Kom till göteborg väldigt snabbt. Annars blir det 10 stycken shuricken i erat bagage!

  • @dummychaos 10 shurikens i bagaget lät iofs inte helt fel! Boka oss i Göteborg så kommer vi.

  • absolutely awesome......OUTSTANDING!!!!

my complete childhood memories in six minutes and six seconds

    Thx for upload

  • @toddybody Thanks man!

  • AWESOME!!!

Many kudos to you all, that's a level of respect for a great game that i've never seen before!

    Great band, i'd watch ya!

  • very good work :) maybe someone can play the music of Pit Fighter for

    c64, it was very good.

  • @novaz JCH was indeed a great SID musician!

  • AWESOME!!! nuff said!

  • AWESOME.

  • Fucking INCREDIBlLE

  • yeeaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!! fucks sake!!! i always loved 80,s rock and had a c64 played last ninja 1 and 2 endlesly..loved the music...mom never bought me a guitar until i was 12 (1991) then i put my c64 away....shame i didnt put the two together then, otherwise i might have played this in a few bands

  • @kamikazilynchmob I'm 37 so it's never too late to start! Google "6581 live x2010" for more of the same good stuff.

  • Got Goose pimples ;-)

    thx 4 uploading!

  • @derbuffer Never heard of goose pimples, but I assume it's a good thing. :) Cheers!

  • Ever since i first played this game as a teen, i loved this tune and wished someone would play it "proper"! lol. But you guys did an extremely good job at this, well done.

  • @drjulesd Thanks man!

  • @drjulesd Thank you very much!

  • @drjulesd Thanks a lot!

  • This sounds exactly I imagined it should sound when I was a kid!!! Great play!!! :)

  • @djnykk Thanks! Spread the word. :)

  • great game, great music, great remake!!!!

  • @Watchandchill Thanks! We have made a even better version of this. Would love to record it some day.

  • Great remake. Great sound. Great feeling.

I always thought (back in the 90s) that a remix using real instruments of C64 tunes could be marvellous, this is the confirmation.

C64 used to have excellent melodies, compositions, and were always underestimated because of the SID chip by those who weren't into the C64, and I always tried to catch up the melodies 'cause I knew it was the opposite. SID is a game sound chip, not a real instrument.

My congratulations for all of you.

    /Juan.

  • There are 8 kiddies who never played The Last Ninja on C64. They don't know what they are missing!

  • @gewitterwolke55 What kiddies are you talking about?

  • @AndreasWallstrom He is referring the ones who voted negative to this video (at this moment are 8).

  • @jclevien You can't be loved by all. :) But I think 168 against 8 speaks for itself. SID rocks!

  • A great cover of a historic C64 Matt Gray track.. Well done guys. - ex 64 scener from Australia

  • @MrMikeabcd1 Thanks Mike!

  • Matt Gray, you are a genius.

  • @deadrevil He truely is!

  • great!!!

  • Awesome job, I love this version :-)

  • You rock, Master Andreas and Master Reyn... Greetings from Peru :)

  • @Kresner Thanks Kresner! Nice to see there's C64 fans in Peru too.

  • hi guys, great cover! what tuning is the rhythm guitar playing in? a whole step down?

  • This is so cool that I'm lost for words. Keep on playing, guys, and get yourselves into a studio!

  • @docmyrtle If you get us a record deal, we promise to find a studio. ;)

  • Ah man, this is great, I feel a kid again cause this my favourite c64 tune!

  • Woah, amazing stuff! Since I heard the original Last Ninja 2 soundtrack in the late eighties / early nineties I always thought it would sound great if played by a real guitar band. You just proved me right. :)

  • @Retkiapina Thanks!

  • Well played good sirs, well played!

  • @shock1974 Well, thank you!

  • Check out my version too :)

  • @metalstud666 ...And I like it! Keep rockin'! How about doing a Future Freak track?

  • @AndreasWallstrom Thx :) Sorry, haven´t heard much about Future freak...

  • @metalstud666 Check his SIDs out. There's a lot of material there to do a great rock/metal cover.

  • @AndreasWallstrom Auf Wiedersehen Monty by Rob Hubbard anybody ? ;)

  • UNIQUE !!!!!!!!

  • Freakin unbelievable, how cool! btw, Wasn't it Reyn Ouwehand who made the original music for LN3 and the remix? Too bad I didn't knew about this band when they were in Holland.

  • @Deef4477 Sure was. Maybe we'll do a TLN/TLN2/TLN3 mix next time, if there is a next time. There's some video floating around of the Holland gig worth checking out.

  • NERD OVERLOAD **falls off chair**

  • @rnrbishop Great, isn't it? :)

  • Hiya, I've done a version similar to this but in my home studio - this works so well on guitars I couldn't resist! Couldn't get video response to work, but search for

    Last Ninja 2 Guitar Remix

And it's the top video. Thanks for the vid, hope you guys are getting a lot of gigs, loving the retro rock,

  • @RichBraithwaite108 Well done Rich! Love the remix.

  • Total rape of a great SID song. SID wants synthesizers as company not guitars.

  • @hemulen242 Some of the songs were written on guitar. I imagine TLN2 being one of those tracks. Nothing can replace the original, but it's too much fun to play these tracks!

  • Emerson lake and Palmer!:XD

  • this just rule of all metal of this year.

  • that just rules all of metal!

  • Makes me sad I missed the BIT Live.

Maybe I'll catch a train to a retro event soon...

  • This is absolutely bloody fantastic. I just heard it on Slay Radio and had a look on Youtube. Kickass drums and METAL combine with SID chip to insane results. And that is one hell of a tasty solo, too.

If you're ever playing in the UK somewhere, let me know! I would pay to see this.

  • @OtaKing77077 Thanks a lot. Remember that we only had eight hours of rehearsals together for this gig! It can and will be much better when we play in Holland in October this year and possibly England next year. Information about a possible UK gig will appear on C64.COM.

  • @AndreasWallstrom AMAZING!! Exactly when and where are you playing in Holland? Didn't seem to be able to find the info on C64.COM.. or maybe I am just blinded by the great music right now :-)

  • @zarchieboy We played on October 2nd. We hope to play at another event soon. It's just too much fun playing these songs!

  • awesome stuff fellas...you just gave me shivers hearing that ball breakin riff to a killer game and bestest scene ever :D

  • I've always thought that LN2 music was so fantastic and deserved a "live" version with real drums, keyboards, bass and guitars...

You proved me I was right!

    Thank for all you did!

  • I thank God that I could live the day to find such an arrangement of my all-time favorite game and ingame music. Although I knew the LN2 tracks are perfectly fit for rock music, I haven't thought it would sound this awesome.

I'm sure I'm not alone with the wish towards 6581 to rearrange and release the other tunes (have they done that already?)

    Thanks guys and respect!

  • Incredible!

  • I love it, it's saved to my favorites, brings back great memories. Thank you.

  • @itisfarzad Thanks! We hope to play soon again and do a even better version, maybe a medley thing with The Last Ninja music. Wouldn't that just rock?

  • You guys are great!!! Keep it up!! :D

  • i wish that last ninja can be created for pc and ps3 and xbox360 somtime in awesome dx11 3d graphics in the future.

  • @starfre77 System 3 started a game like that, but it was never finished. I prefer the ninja in pure pixels. :)

  • Last ninja was awesome in the 80s, and i wish they cold follow up a pc version in topp pc graphics soon.

  • Fuck that great !!! You can't do it better!!!!

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool! Love it!

  • @Hacky123 Cheers!

  • This is AWESOME.

  • WOOOOW!!!! I searched for that nearly 20 years!!! I remember the first steps in LN2... how to turn the ninja???? hrhr THANKS DUDES! My Fav song is the 2nd song in game. Ich will search for more songs of you guys! THANKS A LOT!

  • @hshmanowin Thank you! You should come next time we play live.

  • I just came shurikens.

  • It feels as good as playing the game itself! Nice work!

  • superb version probably the best band performance TLN i've heard yet.

congrats! i will follow your progress.. count me in as an immediate fan.

  • @viciouswhips Great! You should come see us play live, when ever that will be next time. Keep yourself informed by visiting C64.COM!

  • Great stuff, you stole my idea! i was planning to record it with my band!!! hahahaha!!! what the f... i´ll do it anyway.

  • Awesome!! Great job.

  • MAD AS FUCK :-)

  • Excellent

  • Briliant!!!

  • I like c64 and Amiga retro shit just like the other but i guess i'll have to beyond shitfaced to pay to jump around like an idiot to this!

  • @A55ma57er

    lolmao

  • fag!

  • Guys, you are the masters of the Universe!! :) RESPECT RESPECT RESPECT You ROCK, AND C64 and LN2 FOREVER!!!!!

  • I still want digital version of this in to my car mp3 collection, I would not like to want to rip audio from this video? will it be ever available?

  • ***** insanely incredible! we see genius. c64 forever! for all eternity...

  • Wow, great Version of this Song! :)

  • Have you guys tried to play that quieter middle part of this tune also? It wouldn't be impossible to play a rendition of it in this piece with "just" a typical band instruments:) Good performance of a great song!

  • The band only rehearsed eight hours together before this gig and I had the whole event to arrange, so time was short. This was also the last track that made it to the set list. But your idea is good and something we'll have to think about until next time. Could be a good and easy way to update it.

  • I was likned to this from my facebook friends of c64 membership. They say that there was no money to create a dvd.

I wonder if they are willing to create a torrent to allow us to enjoy the *full* experience? if so... tell us on facebook!!! That aside.... Top retro fun!

  • Maybe in the future. We'll see. There's still a lot of work to do even though we'll just release it as a torrent. I'll get back to ya! :)

  • Wooooooooh!!!

I love this tune!! Nice job!

  • Cool as hell :)-

  • RadioParalaxFan, if that is true then you have the biggest boomerang ever coming your way, as you are the biggest prick in the scene.

  • Wow, this is just awesome. Sure takes me back. :)

  • I want this as a download track for Rock Band. Right now.

  • Hey, Reyn Ouwehand...so cool!

  • Brilliant, and you are good. Apxeli is just another dimwit who is confusing studiomastered edits with proper music. :)

  • It's little bit different to claim: I'm confusing something, than give subjective opinion about something.

  • What a dissapointment. :S The sound is horrible. Rhythm guitar sucks, lead guitar sucks, synth arrangements sucks, drumming is lame. Only thing which is decent is the bass playing. Lot to improve from this.

  • wauuuuuuu!!!superb!!

  • There should be studio version of this.. I would really like to have this on my music player :)

  • I second that! Any chance of a studio recording being released?

  • OMG. top men playing amesome c64 music. Thank you very much.

  • Though I feel it should be some more energy to the other music man on stage.. Only Andreas Rockin real hard.

  • OMG, this is awesome stuff!!!!

  • This is awesome stuff!

  • Great performance.. I also like the two fans with long hair dancing at the bottom of the screen. One of them has a reflective C= Logo on the back.

  • It was the best audience! Being a metal fan, I especially dig the headbanging and the stage diving that took place later on in the show.

  • The evening was excellent :D

  • Fan bleeding tastic!

  • amazing!!!!

  • That was an awesome Show you did guys !!! Wished I could be on stage and do some freaky stuff as well ... Take Care

  • Maybe next time?

  • Wouldn't say no to that...

  • WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    /dance

  • wohoo!! I am glad I was there!! :D

  • Amazing stuff! This evening in 2008 was pure magic, remember your wonderful time as an adolescence when you were playing cool C64 games and digging the music!

  • Yay .. I see me !!

It was a great performance you guys !!
