where are these people from?

They're indigenous Albanians from Greece, and they're called Arvanites. They're to be found from the Albanian/Greek border all the way down through to the Peloponisos and throughout the islands,especially Hydra and Evia, though the dialect differs slightly from place to place.

OOOPS - you knew that already because you're one of them! Sorry! ;-) If I'm not mistaken, I think they're from around Kastoria and Florina; this sounds like an album I have which was done by Thanas Moraiti a few years ago. It's brilliant. At least I think that's the album.

This is very clear Albanian langauage!

You can't see any diference from this woman singing and the womans in my grandfathers village. Its amazing how good the old womans have saved the language.

If you take a closer look the only problem is at the new generation (after 1945)
