Your average Ibiza house head would class funky house as disco influenced tracks by artists like joey negro (make a move on me), armand van helden (u dont know me) and fedde le grand (let me think about it)

the new breed of funky house/uk funky has more associations with black music like there's alot of african drums etc...best examples are crazy cousinz-bongo jam, donaeo-party hard or meleka-go (CC mix).
