I'm 12 weeks pregnant right now with my husband and I's first child I want to do a home birth I've been watching lots of videos ,and stuff to educate myself on different birthing processes.
bessed be to you and your family. i leaned a lot from this vid and i will be doing the same with my birth. due in july. thank you and from the bottom of my heart congrats honey!! hearing your baby cry and thelook on daddys face when he heard it almost made me cry. and thats a big thing. i am not easily moved! blessings darling!
@crissstina15 Oh sweetie...the blood is beautiful...its the blood of LIFE, literally! Its not the result of a wound or a cut...its just a part of the magic our womanly body creates life with :) Just like the with our monthly cycles...the blood is sacred and magical and does not hurt to flow :)...it is nothing to be afraid of! I hope you can shift your perspective on this before you have your baby blessings
@kellidoss1 There was no tearing. :) I prepared my body by taking the proper supplements and herbs and did some manual 'stretching' of my perenium in the last few days of pregnancy with evening primrose oil... happy to say after taking homeopathic arnica after the birth, the healing was quite swift with very little pain!
I hate it how so many people think that birth is an accident waiting to happen. It's so beautiful and its a natural thing. Great job mama!! :) you are an inspiration! :)
@demiandselena4ever12 Thanks Sista :) It most certainly isnt an accident or an illness...its a beautiful and empowering experience if we allow it to be...or better said, demand for it to be by taking it back into our own hands!
That was just beautiful and inspirational. What a beautiful, supportive family you have. Id love a homebirth but cant- hospital births in comparison are so cold and sterile and midwife-directed!
I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Dafa is a cultivation system in the Buddha School based on the principles of the Universe: 真 Truthfulness 善 Compassion 忍 Forbearance.
Since 1999 it has been brutally persecuted by the CCP in China. People are being killed, tortured, put into concentration camps and have organs harvested from live people, simply because of their belief. More than 3400 Falun Gong practitioners have died at the hands of CCP in the past 12 years.
This reminded me of my last two uc waterbirths :)... Actually, just the owie part!Lol! But i do so remember the exultant triumph and boundless relief, too! Beautiful birth! So happy for you and beautiful name you chose, too! I'm due end of May 2012 with baby8, uc3:)
just read your description its just wonderful i love " brought into the world by the hands who created him" I wish my sons birth had less medical intervention too
I'm guessing maybe she was unprepared with all that screaming and roaring. Her body is so tense like she can't keep still and relax. She should have studied hypnobirthing.
@JIW1087 I screamed and roared while stiffening up my upper body so that my lower body could relax. It was 3 hours and was beautiful just as this birth was :)
@JIW1087 hmmm, your guess would be inaccurate as I was quite prepared and did not wish to go outside of my body with hypno birthing...I had every desire to be present and accounted for just as I was. Thanks for watching
I just had my 1st home birth with my 3rd child- 1st was cs baby, 2nd was hosp VBAC, and 3rd was my HBAC. My husband and I have decided that if we ever have more kids it's a UBAC for us!
I am very at peace & excited with the idea of a free birth and i just feel likes its what i need to do. thank you so much for the info! im very exited to read and watch all the books and movies! i love the 'the business of being born'. I hope you subscribe and watch my videos so you we can discus back and forth! did you do your own prenatal care?
@CFAMILY11 :) I loved the movies 'the business of being born' and 'orgasmic birth'... my go to books were Susun Weed's wise woman herbal for the childbearing year, Penny Simkin's the birth partner, Aviva Jill Romm's The Natural Pregnancy book (herbs nutrition and other holistic choices) and Birthing From Within as well :) I watched as many youtube videos as I could and had a total peace about my choices once made... I also consulted with a wonderful wise doula that helped me prepare! good luck
@justjokestv :) I felt many emotions...but I'm happy to say that afraid was never one of them. I suppose I wouldn't have gone unassisted if I didn't have total peace about the whole thing :)
My dearest Rhea ~ Birthing goddess... this is beautiful... powerful. So over the moon happy for you. All things happen as they should, and all of who was there was so meant to be. You were meant to experience such bliss and the trust of your own power. I am sending such love to you, your family and your newly earthside River...
@chrysaliswoman Oh Ayla...I'm so glad you came across this... I was going to send it to you this week :) It was amazing and awesome and I wanna do it again and again! River is perfect and such a great baby...hope you are happy goddess!
Sooo beautiful - thank you for sharing the natural power of birth! Awesome Mama! Thanks also to the Dad .. your presence and support are invaluable for a Mama to give birth! Take good care of your family! Love!
Tears and joy that he has entered the world this way, for all of you, and us. Would like to share this with my pregnant and UBAC patients. Would love to hear more of your birth stories, what the labors were like, etc. Thanks so much for sharing this.
@tudoquetenteindeu no a baby is in fluid in utero and do not breathe until their face and cord hit air! : ) very neat eh? waterbirth is considered a gentle transition from the womb to the world outside as well as therapeutic for the birthing mother.
@xxxNOIRxxx Actually, they start breathing once they are stimulated. Excessive touching underwater can cause the baby to start breathing and lead to drowning. I was panicking watching the underwater fondling as a midwife-in-training although I'm glad it all worked out ok in the end.
@cinnamon7685 I expect extreme evaluation as a professional in training...I wonder if that excessive touching rule is taught about baby in fluid still? he was still in his water bag and I'd only punctured a tiny hole with my nail as his head came out.
@goddess426 I suppose the membranes would make baby less sensitive to touch, though personally I would err on the side of caution. This goes with the training though I guess!
@cinnamon7685 As a midwife in training you should know that a baby whose chest is still compressed by the birth canal is very unlikely to be stimulated to breathe.
@BellaVooith8990 Perhaps so. I think the key words you used were 'very unlikely'. There is still a risk, albeit a small one. If you are happy to take that risk it is up to you. I don't agree with scaremongering but I do think safety of mother and baby is first priority.
@cinnamon7685 wow a bit over zealous there eh? 3.5 seconds of a father reaching to pick up his baby from the water is not excessive! you're gonna need to step back a little and relax, yes sometimes time is of the essence, but i've seen plenty of deliveries where babies were under water MUCH longer-you can find some of them on here with an OB in attendance, baby under and touched much longer! if the water was a good temp, and you're not trying to teach baby the breast stroke, 3 seconds is fine!
@xxxNOIRxxx I wasn't speaking about when the father picks up the baby. I was talking about the touching beforehand. We are not going to see eye to eye on this so I don't think there's any need for loaded comments. I was simply stating my opinion based on the training I have had so far. I have a lot yet to learn! I am sorry if women have experienced poor midwifery care in the past that has made them feel disempowered. I aim for happy and healthy mothers and babies and positive birth experiences
@cinnamon7685 yup, definitely not gonna see eye to eye, that's ok thought! : ) i'm a freebirther as well, so likely wont agree with a midwife or most medical professionals, though i DO agree with you on aiming for a happy and healthy mother and positive birth experiences! it seems that little river was just fine and momma and baby are happy, so we can both agree that that is awesome eh? ; )
@tudoquetenteindeu What xxxNOIRxxx said, they're sitting in the womb (which is full of fluid) for 9 months anyway. You would drown the baby if you stick it back UNDER the water once it's already taken the first breath of air.
Home births are so beautiful to watch, just a woman allowing her body to do what comes natural the way nature intended it to be. So beautiful..I will never tire of being able to witness the magic of birth. Congratulations!!!
congrats on your UBAC! i've had two UBACs now, planning 3rd. : ) your little man is so gorgeous, and i'm partial to his name, as that's my daughter's name! happy babymoon to you and thanks for sharing such a beautiful experience. his first little cry was so precious.
