i did 6 months in se asia, travelled with different people here and there, mostly solo though, always made friends. but man, i'd hate to have done that trip with any of my past exes. in fact, before i left, a girl i was with was dropping hints about going with me. i'm glad i nutted up and drew the line and said "no." to anyone thinking about extended travel, a few words of advice: bring less, realize how lucky you are, go alone. that's it, that's the important stuff.
