You have two reason why you are able to get that Error message

1. Maybe when you input the password you put it wrong

2. secon maybe your modem is not giving an ip address to your router.

What things you should do.

1 Powercycle your modem and your router for 2 minutes by disconnecting the 2 devoces from the power outlet

2. Plug first the modem and let wait for 10 seconds after you plug the router

3. make it sure that the internet symbol of your router is green not amber or yellow.
