  • How can a school tell kids what to wear or what not to wear?

Sure, gang related activities such as bearing arms, dealing drugs etc. cannot be tolerated at all. Those are criminal activities.

But mere symbols are completely unharmful. Actually, if you let all school kids wear a gang symbol it automatically stops being a gang symbol.

If it were jewelry with swastikas or other death-related images I would still understand the school, but I find it unacceptable for a school to refuse beads.

  • @67wester The Japanese have family crests that go back centuries known as kamon (mon).Manji is kamon that would be described as a swastika.People interpret symbols differently. If a teacher did a project on ancestory and ask everyone to wear traditional clothing.Should a child who wears a kimono with a "swastika" on it then be suspended?Or jewelry with a family crest?I understand the concern. The school should talk to the child and/or parent for clarification.

  • its in the code of conduct that beads aren't allowed, so what part don't they understand?

  • Really? What has this world come to...

  • i found waldo at 0:48

  • I do think it is wrong to wear a rosary as a necklace but not because it might be ganag related but because it is sacreligous and also i don't think he should be suspended for it

  • @Blondesarecute417 Religion is one's way of life.A symbol or one's action, religious or not, may mean one thing to one person and another thing to another person.Romans 14 Perhaps the uncle gave the brother the rosary and the boy wears them to remember both and their relationship with God.That is between him and God. Where in the Bible does it say to wear a rosary for rememberance is sacrilegious?

  • FUCK THIS SCHOOL

  • Jersey Shore wears it

  • Comment removed

  • if a muslim girl were told she couldn't wear the covering on her head commanded by her religion, it would be ALL OVER the news... yet he can't wear a rosary? and calling it gang related is ridiculous...

    common sense = missing

  • i wouldnt want my kid going to school where bible bangers are allowed to wear religious clothing or jewelry. This same parent would probably b*t(H if a satan worshiper wore pro devil jewelry but since its her imaginary friend and religion she thinks its ok. Seperation of church and state for a reason. go to a private catholic school if you want to wear that crap or show your beliefs, school is for learning not showing that you need an imaginary friend

  • Rosaries are not jewlery. They are to be prayed not worn.

  • it is not bad to wear a rosary on your neck

  • yo those roserybeads are hott i want that one

  • hes a strait G

  • y do people wear rosaries they are not for wearing!!!!!

  • @MARJOE98 What do you mean? Are just used to hold for praying?

  • @ShiPshapeD00d yes, they are prayer beads, not necklaces. Each bead has a prayer (either an "Our Father", "Hail Mary", or "Glory Be"), the crucifix is for praying the "Apostles Creed" and the "Hail, Holy Queen", and while praying with them we are suppose to reflect on the Glorious, Sorrowful, and Joyous mysteries of Christ's life as seen through the live of the Virgin Mary. It is the most important Catholic devotion. And we see wearing them as sacriligeous and blasphemous and insulting.

  • @willthacheerleader18 I wouldnt say thats sacrilegious, but more of a common misconception. I dont think youre going to hell for wearing a rosary. Like for me, (Im a Christian btw) and I have and wear a shirt with an upside down cross on it. Its commonly misunderstood to be a satanic symbol but really its a Saint Peters cross. just a simple mistake.

  • @ShiPshapeD00d we do not beleive a person goes to hell for wearing a rosary, especially if they do not know it is wrong, the problem is that they do not know it is wrong. They should be tought that it IS sacriligious to wear them, and not a "cool" thing that celebrities do. Wearing St. Peters cross is different, there is nothing wrong with St. Peter's cross, there is everything wrong with wearing the rosary like this.

  • @willthacheerleader18 Yeah I can see that, itd be like if someone wore a yamaka and were not Jewish but wore if for fashion. More or less, the same scenario.

  • @ShiPshapeD00d exactly! it is like that exactly! Now, this kid probably does not realize that, but other people around him probably do. I just think its sad that celebrities like Jeremiah, Jason DeRulo, and Taylor Momsen parade arround wearing rosaries, it's offensive. It's not this kids fault, its the media's.

  • @Tomas242007... STFU TOO NO ONE CARES ABOUT ALL THAT RELIGOUS CRAP OMG U PEOPLE R CRAZY

  • @Drumsforhands..Goth people r kewl so is DEATH METAL, death metal is the shit it's the freaking beast biitch and it's annoying on how religous ppl get

  • @willthacheerleader18... STFU THEIR FREAKING BEADS WHO CARES THEY HONOR HIS BROTHER THAT PASSED AWAY IS THAT A FREAKING CRIME AND ENOUGHT OF THE RELIGOUS BS.. JESUS PEOPLE DO U KNOW HOW FOOLISH YOUR SOUNDING...MY GOD!!!! GRR

  • @TheStateHospital it is a crime in the eyes of the Church.. he is misusing a religious object, which is abusing it. If you were a muslim, wouldn't you be mad if someone was wearing a hijab the wrong way, or because they thought it looked cool, or reminded them of a family member? Rosaries are not to be worn. They are for praying.

  • rosaries are not suppose to be worn. they are prayer beads. if you are going to "wear" them, wear them around your waist like a nun does with her habit, or wrap it around your arm. As a Catholic, I find it offensive to wear the rosary.

  • @willthacheerleader18 YOU ARE FUCKING STUPID

  • @DEATHTOTHEWHITEDEVIL nope, but you seem to be with such a lack of vocabulary and lack of self control that you feel the need to post a comment with all caps and swearing.

  • @DEATHTOTHEWHITEDEVIL get a brain.

  • @willthacheerleader18 Huh I'm new to Catholicism thanks for the info I didn't know about that.

  • @willthacheerleader18 I'm a fucking Atheist still in school, who gives a fuck if it is a religious symbol? If you;re offended then you are a pussy.

  • @gzac95 well you obviously dont have compassion. I would be offended even if I wasnt catholic. Its disrespectful. Athiest or not, you should have respect for other people's beleifs and cultures.

  • @willthacheerleader18 I think you misread my comment. I believe that religous people should be able to wear it, it doesn't harm anyone. I have respect that's why I am not offended. Even though most religious people are offended by my belief.

  • @gzac95 its misusing a religious item. its like a non jew wearing a yamaca (sp?) or a non muslim wearing a hijab or burkha.. or someone abusing a sacred object. The Rosary is the central devotion of the Catholic faith, and wearing it is seen as extremely disrespectful. That is why it is offensive. Not because I, or anyone else, is a pussy.

  • @willthacheerleader18 My bad I just knew it was a religious item, I didn't know he was misusing it. Forget what I said then.

  • @gzac95 yeah, no worries. Yeah, this guy isnt even catholic. The rosary is a collection of prayers, one bead for each prayer (made up of Hail Marys, Our Fathers, the Apostles Creed, and the Hail Holy Queen). It's not for wearing.. sadly a lot of people have started wearing it.

  • @willthacheerleader18 yeah i hate when i see people wearing them it makes me want to strangle them with the rosary

  • @willthacheerleader18 ok im from europe and there are so many people that wear those!! its not an insult

  • @bojankica it really depends on the culture I suppose. Since i do have some hispanic friends who are catholic that wear them. but i was always taught that it was an insult to the Virgin Mary to wear it as a necklace.

  • @willthacheerleader18 to me wearing a rosary on your neck is not bad

  • @narutogt24 it is at most times considered blasphemous. when a rosary is worn it is typical around the arm or waist.

  • @willthacheerleader18 I just thought no one wore rosaries around their necks because most of the time they're too small to fit around your head. O_O

What's offensive about wearing a rosary around your head?

  • @narutogt24 are you catholic

  • @hitchigo1 no it just seems silly how he's suspended over this

  • @willthacheerleader18 - i did not know this about the rosary, but the issue is the first admendment, and these school officials putting themselves above the congress of the united states - if i hold up a pot leaf and say that i worship it, and i must wear it as part of my religion, then cogress shall make no law to infringe on my right to practice my religion - who is this lady that she can do what congress cannot?

  • @willthacheerleader18 - i did not know this about the rosary, but the issue is the first admendment, and these school officials putting themselves above the congress of the united states - if i hold up a pot leaf and say that i worship it, and i must wear it as part of my religion, then congress shall make no law to infringe on my right to practice my religion - who is this lady that she can do what congress cannot?

  • @HowULiveIsEverything that's not true, as pot is illegal to have possesion of, then you actually would not be able to wear it. Just like you cannot make animal sacrifices legally in the United States, even though that is part of many religions.

  • @willthacheerleader18 yes but hes wearing them for his dead uncle and brother

  • This EXACT shit happened to my son today.

  • @NasWasLike GOOD AND YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE YOUR JOB AS HIS PARENT AND TAUGHT HIM THAT IT IS wrong and offensive to wear rosaries around your neck

  • "...and they don't say nothing to them..."

He needs to go to school very badly.

Seriously though, I agree that this is BS. Even gang members should have the right to wear what they want. Either we all have a right to free expression or none of us do.

  • another sign of anti christian leanings in public schools

  • @thomas242007 not true, it is unchristian to wear the rosary, it is considered sacriligious by catholics and anglicans to wear the rosary.

  • @willthacheerleader18 i still say that isnt right singling out that kid because he wore one when muslims where theyre hijabs, and get excused 5 times a day from school to go pray, whats next are kids going to be forbidden to wear a cross in school or say god bless america? i dont particlulary like catholisism even though im a christian but i still think the double satandards schools are showing nowadays towards the muslims is just appauling

  • @thomas242007 this is different. the chikd was non compliant. He should have obeyed at the moment, and then brought it up to the administration. THis is different than hijabs and crosses too (btw my muslim friends are not excused to go pray at school), as a catholic we are not to wear the rosary, so we agree he should not be wearing it. Muslims are suppose to wear hijabs. we encourage wearing crosses. rosaries are not to be worn around the neck, we see it as blasphemous.

  • @willthacheerleader18 then why dont they tell the muslim students they cant wear theyre hijabs? thats exactly the same thing its an expression of their faith and even if your church does see it as blasphemous if the kid wants to wear it as a sign of his faith then he should have every right to do that if he wants, imagine what the reaction from cair, and those groups would be, they would be demonstrating on an international scale for one student being denied the right to wear a hijab just sayin

  • @thomas242007 No! did you not listen!! Catholic teaching CONDEMS wearing the rosary! it is NOT a sign of faith. Our Church teaches it is sacriligeous and dishonoring the Virgin Mary and God if we wear it! It is NOT a necklace. Islam requires women to wear a hijab! Telling a girl to take off her hijab interferes with her religious laws, catholicism does not tell us to wear a rosary.

  • @willthacheerleader18 still though if the kid wants to wear it, who is it really hurting if he wants to wear one to express himself then why should anybody really care, they hardly even want kids to say the pledge of allegiance where you say under god in it because it offends some people, and in several schools they even praise the teachings of islam while they have nothing good to say about christianity or jesus, some schools are infact indocrinating kids into accepting islam

  • @thomas242007 he should not wear it if it is offensive to others (catholics). He also should not wear it if it is associated with a gang symbol. I live in the bible belt, evangelical and protestant christians try to force their beleifs on public education, and it is not pretty. As a catholic, I am a minority in my state. I see it as offensive to wear the rosary, just as a muslim would find it insulting to see a hijab used the wrong way, a jew and star of david, etc etc.

  • @thomas242007 and the pledge of allegiance still says "Under God" that has not changed. Nor will it. "God" in the pledge is not only limited to the Christian beleif of God. It is for all religions.

  • @willthacheerleader18 but theres always that one group of teacher that gripe about them even saying under god even in the pledge of alleigance, but yet theres alot of schools outthere that promote islam, i just think its strange how that works out is all

  • @thomas242007 firstly, there is nothing wrong with islam. Secondly, there are even more schools that promote Christianity. We live in a nation where Christians are the majority and Islam is generally looked down upon. Regardless, Schools have no right (unless a private & religious school) to impose one religion on a student (Seperation of Church & State and Freedom of Religion). Onyl the Supreme Court can decide whether or not we say "Under God", not a school.

  • @willthacheerleader18 theres plenty wrong with islam, i hav e a video where the father talks about imam khomeini being a guest at his and he sees one of his daughters who if i remeber correctly was 5 or so, and khomeini requested a temp marriage with her and the father said he couldnt really deny the imam the marriage because he was afraid of him, the imam in a muslim majority country can pretty much get by with anything no one should have that power whether it be the pope,an imam, or apresident

  • @thomas242007 firstly, that is not the fault of the religion, that is people being corrupt. the same could be said about all religions.

  • where the fuck is your teeth and your son is a fucking faggot and he think he black but his dirty ass aint black

  • @TheJokerking92 So if he was cleaner and had nicer teeth, he could be black?

  • DESTROY ALL INDIVIDUALITY, DESTROY ALL INDIVIDUALITY

  • I love how schools have the 'Could be, might be, would be' mentality.

That six year old girl has a 'Barbie Doll' she needs to be suspended because the doll could be cut into a plastic knife and might be used to stab someone."

  • That shit doesn't belong in a public school!

  • @essanay45 Self expression belongs in public. The school can't endorse religion, but the kids should be allowed to.

  • I don't see why people can wear things like booty shorts or flip flops or sleeveless shirts to school and not get in trouble but a boy wanting to honor a family member wears that and he gets suspended....

  • I'm not Catholic but I understand why he's wearing them. If the school won't allow beads then get a knot rosary. No beads, no problem. Opinions?

  • Be strong. Christian and Catholics are being striped of the beliefs. I thought we had the right to practice our religion. God help America!!!!

  • I don't get it.. He can't do this, but "goths" can wear fangs, tails, and creepy contacts. How is that right. "Goth" kids should be suspended for being in a gang... They hangout in there secluded area dressed in the same "individuality expresses " clothing.

  • @drumsforhands Lol so funny but true and their gang color is BLACK. Stupid school officials...

  • @drumsforhands go fuck yourself you jesus cock sucking cunt, follow the fucking rules you ignorant little fuck

  • @IncDeathCreed first off i'm atheist its not about beliefs its about what is fair, and 2 your only pissy because you know i'm right gothy fucks dressing in anything hot topic tells them is cool. and seeing as how you yt tag has death in it i can safely assume your dad bought you hair dye and a distortion pedal for xmas. lol FYI there are more tuning options than drop D C standard is alot heavier but hey you wouldn't know being a douche and all

  • @drumsforhands nice sterotypical bullshit fucking idiot

  • @IncDeathCreed says the douche metal kid isn't that the goth pot calling me conformist get it? your unoriginal

  • @drumsforhands

i'd love to beat your jesus loving bitchass into the ground.

  • @IncDeathCreed and i'd love to kick your douche goth teeth in if i'm ever in carolina i'll be sure to fuck you sister and break your bass guitar, yeah north carolina when i think of metal i think of north carolina i like how your so completely stupid that instead of actually saying something to the goth kid comments i sent your way you just manage to look stupid all the time. i've said i'm an atheist like 30 times and you still can't get it. do you just sit at home smoke bowls and play cod? FAG!

  • @IncDeathCreed oh and of course i forgot eat a dick lol

  • @drumsforhands Actually, "goths" aren't free from dress code. I would know, I got suspended for wearing fangs to school once. Also, we don't all hang out in the back of the school in the shadows, that's a very stereotypical view and I feel sorry for those who see it that way.

  • @drumsforhands Goths are too trendy to be in a gang.

What planet do you come from?

  • @drumsforhands

oh so being a goth means you're a gang member? suck it asshole.

  • I think we all know what would have happened if a Muslim were suspended for earing a headscarf.

  • So they allow bandanas which are often gang related. Does this school board allow Muslim students to wear a hijab? This is a blatant example of anti-religion. The real question is if it's an example of anti-Catholicism or an opposition to religion in general.

I'm no gang expert, but from what little I do know, bandanas are far more likely to be gang related than beads.

  • Its freedom of religion and freedom of speech AND in memory of a dead brother. The school is ridiculous for stopping this.

They let Muslims wear turbans and do their daily prayers even if it means leaving class for it, so why no this? Its ridiculous, have some respect for other religions.

  • It's ok for towel heads to wear a turban though... cause they will make threats to bomb the school if not allowed.

  • freedom of religious expression

    the school is totally wrong

  • Here's the thing, folks..Rosary beads worn around the neck are only appropriate by even a devote Catholic, if the INTENT TO USE THEM FOR PRAYER EXISTS..They are not LUCK CHARMS! Therefore, they are NOT jewelry, and shouldn't be (as a blessed article) used to make a statement. Mom, get a life and stop using your son for your own issues...your poor child is now suffering because of it! You're also mocking my faith!

    Signed,

    A devote Catholic HOMESCHOOLING Mom!

  • @Pompien

yes we know that .. some of us like to wear it like that .. hence it fits around the neck .. and people do wear it like that -.- silly mama

  • Keep your Catholic beads out of sight. All we need are a bunch of prest hanging around the school.

  • @powercode00: Well you know since there are much more teacher child molesters than priest molesters..

  • Stupid cultists. Kid wear your image of a torture device under your shirt.

  • Seperation of Church and State

  • it dosen't honor family, what ignorance, its an ode, and idol, to their christian god, so it matters, do they ban satanic and other religious wear from their school? If so then good, this kid shouldn't be allowed t owear christian crap, if we allow christian crap like crucifix's and rosaries then we should allow all idols and jewelary in from all religions,

  • @joevil2025

    Ignorance?

As a former Gang member that has used Rosary beads any many violent acts... YOUR IGNORANCE is very apparent.

I wounder how "honored" his family would be if he came home with a permanent scar around his neck after being choked by his own beads at the hands of some gangster.

By the way.. i'm no longer a gangster, nor catholic.. I have freed my mind.. and my soul ;-)

  • Rules are rules the school's dress code said no beads allowed and what did the moronic kid do he wore beads to school. So the kid and the mom should shut up

  • this is sad..

  • @paigelz04

Sad would have been him choked to death by his own beads at the hands of a gang member.... thats what our gang members used rosary beads for in my day

  • @2bRealist Well, they're defeating their purpose, as those who are choked and die, are going straight to Heaven as a Saint. Jokes on them!!!!! ROTFLOL!

  • Well, its about time. I remember they tried to suspend a friend of mine for wearing a pentacle. Fairs fair, i say

  • wow what happen to freedom of religion

  • @SuperStreet04

Separation of Church and State... this is a PUBLIC school, not a privet school.

Besides.. Rosary beads have been used by Mexican gangsters for years... he should have just kept it under his shirt

  • @2bRealist What does public/private have to do with this? A school made a rule, and it must be followed by ALL, period. The mother does an injustice to her son by not teaching him that life is full of rules that must be followed; otherwise, there are consequences.

  • @mmdillon1

    what? O_o

you do realise that i was "responding" to a comment made.. if anything you should be asking this of the person I was responding to...

as for school rules... dude I went to highscool, and graduated, i know all about school rules... government rules, social rules, nature's rules, and more importantly..

I know humanity is about BENDING ALL THE RULES.

Though I agree that he should have worn it under his shirt as allowed by the RULES....

  • @mmdillon1 ...But i see no injustice by his mom teaching him to stand up for himself.. though misguided.. it's still a valuable lesson.

  • @mmdillon1 You know damn well that if he were Muslim, no one would do anything because the ACLU and CAIR would already be defending him.

  • @2bRealist The same people who claim to support "separation of church and state" have no problem when Muslims get special privileges at those same schools.

  • The school did what they had to do. They had a set code of conduct stating that beads are not allowed and its states the reason why as well. So, why can you (those commenting) be angry or upset with how the school acted? They code of conduct was clear. Since they the code of conduct was violated the school had no choice but suspend him.

Oh and by all means disagree with me and curse at me, however you and i both know that i am right.

  • And if you dont understand what im saying here it is plain and simple....

I agree with the action the school took. The school did the right thing. The boy and his parents should have nothing to be upset about.

  • I love when i see stupidy that reaches the news. And when some schools banned the american flag on may 1st. The school board is there to get your money, not to actually work. Remember that.

  • Wouldnt dare stop a towel head from showing their pray beads OH hell no

  • @Docthewrench Do you mean a woman who just got out of the shower?

  • Father Murphy wants to put them up his butt

  • Grown ups acting stupid again. They should have just called his mother, explained the rule and the situation to her and had her ask him to remove them while at school. These people are idiots.

  • Most schools still do school prayer and that's against the law. Even school boards have invited catholic priests to officiate. There no longer is a division of church and state.

  • I bet a Muslim would get away with stoutin about with the Burka on wit anyone sayin fuck all

  • @andycats lol no

  • the church is a kind of gang

  • fuck religion.

  • According to the Catholic Church, people aren't supposed to be wearing Rosary beads anyways...

  • This is bullshit !!!This school is a garbage!!!

  • @LordAdrian

Ever been choked with rosary beads by a Mexican gangster?

By the way I USED to be a Mexican gangster in high school... I never went to school with out my beads.. It was a symbol that I am one to be respected or else.

Using the beads on someone was also symbolic.. and usually more personal

I'm no longer Gangster nor Catholic.. while in high-school, my mind was developing, and started question EVERYTHING

Now I'm a Liberal Agnostic.. ain't that some shit =P

  • @2bRealist yeah I understand you,but If He wanna wear, that's is a his problem.Everybody have to do decision in your lives and he's young too!!

  • i make HILARIOUS videos!!!

  • rules are for everyone you faggot

  • @DlomasterFTW

Yes.. school rules are for everyone.. but what does this have to do with "faggots"?

  • @DlomasterFTW Why is it a rule? Your free to use disgusting language, right? I think it's only far more appropriate to wear "Rosary Beads"? Definetly not as offensive as your language.

  • @ASCEND2ETERNITY My language may be more offensive, but I'm completely in the rules. He broke the rules knowingly. For that he deserves punishment and shouldn't cry. The only reason this is getting this kind of attention is, because of a certain rule he broke, that has to do with religion. And it is complete bullshit that religious people don't have to comply to common rules. As I already said, rules are for everyone faggot.

  • @DlomasterFTW "Religous people"? What exactly do "religious people" get away with?

  • @ASCEND2ETERNITY They said no neck / head wear. He says he's wearing those beads for spiritual reasons ( religious) . Just the fucking argument that it's for spiritual reason shows, he has no respect for the rules and thinks he's above the rules.

If you don't agree with a rule, don't simply brake it. Make a petition or something, but if you decide to just break the rule, don't cry if you get suspended.

  • @DlomasterFTW And the Constitution Of The United States protects your right to express yourself, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. So the school broke the "rules" (Law) first. This kid is'nt guilty of any wrong doing.

  • @ASCEND2ETERNITY I don't know what you're talking about mr. keyboard warrior, but schools have 100% the right to ban certain pieces of clothing in relation to gangs, racism ect. I know this kid isn't a gangbanger, but his fellow students fucked his right to wear whatever he wants by joining gangs. Serious dude I'm done commenting on this video. If you want to look ''cool'' have the last word. I don't care. My comment is in highest rated and the school didn't remove his suspension. go pray. gf

  • @DlomasterFTW I don't want the last word, but how about you make a point. The school absolutely so long as it resides in the United States has no authority to overide the Constitution of The United States, which clearly states that those individuals within the written Constitution have the right to "freely" express themselves. That's why that school is being brought to court, how the heck do you mistake "Rosary beads" with anything "gang" affiliated?

  • YES!

    THIS!

    EXCELLENT!!

  • When are we going to stop giving these idiots' masters tax exempt status?

  • They obviously gave him the option to put away the necklace.

All you Christians talk about being set against. Have you ever considered the discrimination happens because your so whiney? You come to our houses to convert us, try to teach in your faith in our schools, muddle with science that is just that SCIENCE; some of you don't deserve better.

Then this as soon as someone dare say something against you it's bigoted and underhanded.

    Fucking retards

  • @priestfeast122 You are obviously an idiot with that comment.

  • @Th2EyA0rEa1MoN2gUs

You are obviously a sheep. Your whole life is going to be dull and transparent. Just go follow the line and fuck off

  • @priestfeast122 This is suppost to be a free country, who gives a shit what he was wearing, the satanist at my school wear upsidown crosses around their necks. Do they get suspended, NO? Do I give a shit what they wear, NO. I am catholic and I really don't give a shit what they wear it is their life not mine...REMEMBER FREE COUNTRY, alot have forgotten....

  • @Th2EyA0rEa1MoN2gUs

Wow your a Catholic. I couldn't tell. I was raised in that brainwashing brood too!

Free country, free to move schools, free to put it under his shirt. Wow, was that difficult?

  • @priestfeast122

I was brought up to have respect for all people - even if they are different to me. And these people seem lovely to me. God Bless them.

    CATHOLIC STATE FOREVER PLEASE!

  • @amaqula Our founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if it was a "Catholic state forever"

  • @amaqula ??? People being nice has nothing to do with it. Schools, like it or not, have become dangerous places. Long necklace wear, whether religious or not, can be used as a weapon and can also be used against the person wearing it as a choking instrument.

  • @7thDayAtheist

That's a bit far fetched isn't it! The same could be said for ties and even shoe laces. The fact is they allow bandanas - so what kind of a school are they?!! God bless these lovely people and the stand they are taking!

    CATHOLIC STATE FOREVER PLEASE!

  • @amaqula Do you work in a school? Have you ever seen or experienced what can be used as a weapon? I do. Not far-fetched at all. And yeah, an industrious young SOB could use a tie if needed. But ties do not have the swinging ability that other forms of jewelry have. If this kid has the burning desire to wear his religion on his sleeve, he can go to parochial school.

  • @7thDayAtheist

What is odd is the aversion the school seems to have to Christ (God Himself) while turning a blind eye to bandanas! That is plain discrimination based on his religion. I would have agreed to their secular laws - if they were applied indiscriminately - but they obviously are not! God Bless mother and son!

    CATHOLIC STATE FOREVER!

  • @amaqula This situation has nothing to do with religion don't get caught up with what the rosary represents. The school is going to see it as a string of beads because thats what it is. This in no way or form has anything to do with religious discrimination.

  • @FTBviolin

It has everything to do with religion - if it hadn't - they would also ban bandanas! Tell me - what kind of school allows bandanas?! A lawless one I would say - except for the laws banning Rosary beads of course! LOL nobody is fooled.

    CATHOLIC STATE FOREVER PLEASE!

  • @amaqula Im sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong.. You are clearly missing the only important fact in the entire story. The school has a code of conduct(set of rules/guidelines that are set in place by an organization) the code of conduct clearly states that NO ONE can wear beads outside their clothing. What did the boy do he wore the beads outside his clothing, therefore he violated the CC resulting in suspension. If you continue to argue agains the facts all you are being is ignorant.

  • @FTBviolin

I accept that totally - but do they not also have a policy against bandanas - and if not why not?! Strange place.

    CATHOLIC STATE FOREVER!

  • @amaqula I'm glad we can agree that your argument was inconsistent, irrelevant, and flawed. Are bandanas a gang related? If so do you have proof? The school banned beads because they had proof that beads in their area are gang related.

p.s You do realize you're arguing something different now correct?

  • @FTBviolin

My argument is water tight. Do you have proof Rosary beads are gang related?! - no you don't - cos they are not. So don't lie please. And what kind of school allows people to wear bandanas?! Just what kind of school is that - LOL

    CATHOLIC STATE FOREVER PLEASE!

  • @amaqula You still are missing one im thing... The code of conduct for the school does not allow BEADS... what was he wearing?? Oh yeah you said it rosary BEADS. so why did he get suspended? FOR WEARING BEADS... doesnt matter what kind. It matters that he was wearing them. That is why he got suspended FOR WEARING BEADS. ANY TYPE OF BEADS = VIOLATION OF SCHOOLS CC.

The same kind of schools that allow hats or headbands allow bandanas.

Once again nothing to do with religion...

  • @FTBviolin

I understand that - but why are Rosary beads banned - but not bandanas. What kind of idiot school is that! Oh a secular one - now why is no one surprised about that?!!!

    CATHOLIC STATE FOREVER PLEASE!

  • @amaqula The video stated why and so did i in one of my responses to you... quit being ignorant and closed minded. This has nothing to do with religion. Secular school or not he did not follow the rules period. Your argument doesn't stand; it has no ground or factual evidence, simply your ignorant opinion.

good luck with you catholic state lol
