  • @kevinM2123 nah man.2 tonne bins

  • Fantastica... For ex-USSR-engineer it seems like from the other planet...

  • we are located in new zealand in the middle of the north island.im not sure what your season is like over there, but here in nz we can only grow half the year.so carrots are our main crop.we start planting in mid sept and finish late nov.then start digging end of jan right up to start of nov.the weather over here is so cold that we can leave the vegetables in the ground without them going off.so we just dig them when we need it.

  • @rajumaruticampus hello there, sorry we dont build to sell.maybe when we out grow it then it maybe up for sale or cut up into a new one....

  • Where abouts are you located? We have begun planting carrots here in georgia over the last 2 or 3 years as an alternative crop to wheat, so we're still kinda new to it. We plant in late November, behind peanuts and harvest from early April through mid-May and follow the carrots with cotton. It makes for a good rotation. We're still growing into carrots. This past crop was about 600 acres.

Also, who is the harvester made by? And can it be used with a larger tractor like a 8310, or a 8230?

  • @MultiBaldEagle the harvester is homemade by my uncle.we chose the 7530 because of the short wheel base and high hp.they are a pretty nimble tractor.the 8000's are very long and have a very heavy front on them no good for carrying 2tonne bins on the front too clumsy.john deere have a new 7200r,that will be the best tractor for this harvester

  • @MultiBaldEagle So you grow wheat, carrots, cotton and peanuts all in the same year?

  • @chechnya ...In 2011, we had wheat and carrots as winter crops. We plant corn, peanuts and cotton in the spring. Since switching to strip tillage on our row crops our planting dates are usually delayed because of soil temperatures so the carrots are a good rotation crop. We are currently toying with the idea of growing sweet onions as well, but we're outside of the Vidalia Onion district, so we'll just have to see.

  • that's cool, looks kinda like how they harvest potatoes

  • Nice to se how carrots are harvested. The JD tractor must be a 7530 Premium that was introduced in March 2009

  • ti sporchi un pò il trattore!!

  • um we start frm late jan and finish oct-nov.cold weather here stores them pretty good

  • Grea videos. 5 stars.

What time of year do you start harvesting
