Leonard Peltier’s latest ploy from prison reminds us of all those he has fooled over the years. Although their numbers grow smaller each day, a few still cling to the myths and conspiracy theories they have been conditioned to believe. Despite overwhelming evidence of Peltier’s guilt, they know only discredited histories that white men have foisted upon them. During this holiday season, let us pray Peltier’s latest victims acquire the courage to seek the truth and the wisdom to accept it.

Funny how RT interviews Wayne Madsen for a whole variety of issues. This so called "investigative" journalist probably just searches on the internet rather than interviewing those who were at the scene (both witnesses and officers). The only way for Peltier to be freed is for another review of this case.
Peltier was framed, to put it mildly. It's the FBI and their crminal enablers in government that should be serving life right now. The Leoanrd Peltier case is exxhibit A in FBI/government corruption. The government's corruption in the Peltier case was so bad, so overt, that the courts had to recognize it publicly.
"Much of the government's behavior at the Pine Ridge Reservation and in its prosecution of Mr. Peltier is to be condemned. The government withheld evidence. It intimidated witnesses. These facts are not disputed."
Peltier's lawyers got FBI documents through a FOIA request that forced the government to change its "case" against Peltier and admit it could not prove Peltier had shot the FBI agents. The FBI documents showed the FBI fabricated the ballistics evidence against Peltier and withheld other evidence that showed Peltier's innocence.
With the revelations of the FBI documents showing the FBI's criminal misconduct, the government demomonstrated additonal criminality. It did not press charges against the FBI personnel repsonsible for the crimianl misconduct revealed in the FOIA documents but rather it began to make the patently absurd argument that Peltier had aided and abetted his two alleged accomplices, Robert Robideau and Dino Butler even though they were both aquitted on the grounds of self-defense.
