you said you did all of this on a hacintosh, I have vmware fusion 3.0.2 and I can't seem to get the bootloader to boot up. I am using a macbook with snowleopard and trying to get leopard in a virtual machine. I get the error, then I resume the leopard version i load a boatloader but its not the same as what you have in your video. I don't get the same options you do. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
good video helped me. this will hold me until I can get it installed on myy comp via hackintosh, been tryin forever and to make it worse I am a PC technician, but if I can't get it to work at least I have it on VM now but if you have any tips as to how I could get Leopard on a 650i FP-IN9 motherboard please tell have tried the forums tied boot flags with Ideneb Atkos and Kalyway you seem like you know your stuuf even though you helped with this vid if hoping you could help wit my hackintosh
It's likely that your motherboard isn't fully supported though. I found a motherboard on the osx86 compatible list and bought it to make my Hackintosh. (Asus P5K Pro)
Thanks 4 the info tried the forums, one guy says he installed with my model mobe, I think I will post something on that forum and try n get his attention, pretty cool running on vmware at least I get to play with it
There's only retail and server, and OSX Server is already supported by VMware Fusion 2.0. When I say retail, I mean the regular version of OSX, straight from Apple.
When VMware Fusion emulates an OS it uses its own virtual computer, its already set up to run OSX server on its own, so no. Think of VMware as emulating mac hardware then installing osx onto it.
You don't need to use a hackinstosh install DVD, the regular one does fine.
okay can i do the same steps for snow leopard

Google the osx86 project. They are your best bet.

Once I click on the VMX file to add it to VMware fusion, within the VMware library an exclamation mark appears saying ERROR.
I so need this work, so I can use my printer, which don't work under Snow Leopard, thanks!

It might not work with your version of VMware Fusion. I used VMware Fusion 2.0.2 and it worked for me.
