  • @colompool97 Because the people who disliked this have their own opinions which you won't accept or respect? Yeah, that's probably it.

  • LOVE this song!!!!!!!

  • in almost every dog movie i see lady, tramp, their friends, and pongo O.o LOL

  • @susanaya2 Yeah Disney was kinda broke so they had to reuse characters. Same thing happened in Robin Hood A LOT

  • @lizachan99

Well Disney just reuse comic relief characters, really.

  • At 2:00, nice weiners, doger!!!! Lolz

  • watching the French version is much better !!

  • This song not to mention this movie is so under rated.

  • Poor Oliver he was starved to death. :(

  • dodger is played by billy joel

  • After all that, the sausages are filthy and not worth eating.

  • lol 2:28 they are asking to get doggied ;)

  • I remember watching this movie a lot when I was little. I didnt find out till much later that Billy Joel was the voice of Dodger. He's such a boss :p

  • @Shad0wSpill Rofl me two i just found out today lol

  • @Shad0wSpill no i didnt see it till he got on the fuckin piano then i shit a brick

  • I think the rats at the end were foreshadowing of a certain pixar movie staring rats...that would be too cool

  • Did Ponzo and several other disney dogs make cameos in this?

  • Oliver was voiced by Joey Lawrence, while Simba (as a cub) was voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

Oliver and Company was released in 1988 - while The Lion King was released in 1994.

  • @VoxEMan

Joey was also the voice of the teen boy that was hitting on Roxanne in a Goofy Movie.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes, I think he only had a small part in that movie though. I also remember him from the 90s sitcom "Brotherly Love" (although not all episodes were aired in Australia).

  • @VoxEMan

Did you know Ratigan made a cameo in this movie? he is seen on one of Georgette's boyfriends pictures since both are made by the same animator. You know who Ratigan is right? i guess he survived that fall from big ben then got reincarnated and got immortality from formulas then sent to America where he lives in New York for 100 of years and dated Georgette in 1988. Imagine a Rat dating a dog, love is strange you know.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Be careful, DON'T call him a rat!!

I also heard that Jonathan Brandis (from "Seaquest" and "The Neverending Story 2") supplied a voice in this movie. Can't tell which voice though, it might have just been a voice in the "crowd"?

  • 3:57 Oliver wins. he has the high ground :D

  • I imagine oliver's voice with cub Simba!

  • The 90's <3

  • @PhoenixRacing07885

Wrong this was the 80's and came out in 1988

  • i like when the rats harmonize

  • Dang I miss the 90s man *sigh*

  • @Msamthomas

Came out in 1988 then never got released on video for years then in 1996 it came back in theaters and got released on video.

  • Dang this song is good.

  • Comment removed

  • @Johnlindsey289 - No I don't think that it was released in Australia either (I think it was a world-wide release in 1996).

No, I didn't see "The Great Mouse Detective" at the movies - or else I don't remember seeing it. I went to see "An American Tail" instead.

BTW - You said you were 7 when this movie was released, but in your profile it says that you are 28? Wouldn't that make you 5 when the movie was released in 1988? (Sorry, I am not trying to be rude).

  • @VoxEMan

6 i mean, just a mistake i made as i was lazy and tired for i wanted to go to bed the other night. some countries did have O&C when it came out in 89/90 on video like Japan and other places but never in some other ones like here in the states which sucks because it took 7 years. Did you see the re-issue in theaters at 14 too?

  • @JohnLindsey289 I forgot about the Mcdonalds Ornaments. I have those too!! :)

  • thissssss is my song yo, thank gosh i have the tape yayy loll.

  • I don't care what anyone else says - this is the best Disney movie of all time!

I first saw it at the movies when it was released in 1988 (I was 6 years old), and I have loved it ever since. Absolutely BRILLIANT.

  • @VoxEMan

Me too, i was 7 when it came out and saw it 3 times in theaters when it came out and had merchandise. Was it on video in your country back in 89? not here in the US and Canada unfortunately for 7 years until 96. Did you also see Great Mouse Detective in theaters as well?

  • @Johnlindsey289 I don't think McDonalds (or any restaurant) released merchandise in Australia - I would still have mine if they had. However, I did get the "Oliver & Company" book and tape - cassette tape that is, NOT video tape.

A few years ago I picked up the exclusive "Oliver & Company Snow Globe". It has Jenny sitting at the piano and the dogs sitting around her. Dodger and Oliver are on top of the piano in the snowglobe. I couldn't believe it when I saw it - it was a dream come true!

  • Oh and the LP of the soundtrack too. Got that in 88! I agree about waiting so long for it to come out on Video. Still don't know why it took 7 or 8 yrs for it to come out on VHS. But I have the 2002 DVD release so no worries. :)

  • @Johnlindsey289 THANKS! I'm glad someone cares about my feelings! And yes I do have some Merchandise. I have the Read along book and cassette,Mcdonalds finger puppets set,Sears plushes of Oliver,Dodger, and Tito,1996 plush of Tito from Disney Store,Sears PVC figure of Tito,BK 1996 toys from both theatrical and VHS release,Rita,Georgette plushes.Beanie plushes of Oliver & Dodger.1996 VHS & 2002 DVD release.I don't have plushes of Francis and Einstein though.

  • @RodStewartfan1

    What about those singing ornuments?

  • Whos Chris Crocker? I just prefer old Disney than the new Disney!! I don't know what your problem is Psychid45! Just leave me alone! What did I ever do to you!!!? I don't care if you think I'M immature! I COULD CARE LESS!!! YOU DON'T KNOW ME!

  • @RodStewartfan1

Yes Rod, don't let him get to you.

  • Love this song & movie

  • @tylerb162008

Indeed and since your another one of my generation (80's/early 90's kids and mid-late 90's teens), did you ever see this movie in theaters when it first came out and had some merchandise including Mcdonalds stuff? did you also wondered how come it never came out on video for 7 long years?

  • @bubblt

Yes indeed, since your 27 do you remember seeing this movie when it first came out in theaters when you were 5 and did you had any merchandise even Mcdonalds stuff?

  • @Johnlindsey289 thats not how old i am and no. dont believe everything you see on the internet.

  • @bubblt

I thought you were and i'm probably the one of the few here of my generation (80's/early 90's kids) who saw this on the big screen.

  • Awwww i miss being a kid, this was mine and my dads favorite move<3

  • Ahhhh love this song!!! 17 years old and I'm still raving to the old disney songs. 9 people are obviously not streetwise enough to improvise.

  • this makes me want to cry. i used to watch this all the time

  • 9 ppl dont have street savoir-faire

  • When ya live with savoire faire life is a breeze ;) people wonder why i don't give a shit and i look at em and say "savoire faire baby" ;)

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwww little orange kitty

  • oliver and company why should i worry

  • I love both old and new Disney! So this, HSM, HM, The Suite Life, and too many to list Lol

  • "But wait, you're not being fair!" "Fairs are for touriusts, kid."

  • omg I haven't seen this movie in years. I use to love this song

  • I think I'm in love with that dog! :) lol

  • i love this song

  • Dodger is such a boss

  • Why the heck does most of Youtube post things in the wrong key??

This is the only version of Why Should I Worry I found with the right notes.

  • Heh. I saw Jock, Trusty, Peg, and Pongo. Lol, Disney cameos.

  • 9 people dont got da street savoir faire

  • He is totally the Patrick Swayze of Dogs.

  • Fox And The Hound 2? Lady And The Tramp 2? 101 Dalmatians 2? Wheres an Oliver And Company 2!? Thumbs up if u think there needs to be one!

  • @HannahBoltForever No that would ruin it for me cause Disney sequels suck.

  • @HannahBoltForever becasue all three of those here mediocre, im glad this never got a sequel, and i hope i never will

  • Damn This Just Took Me Back

  • It's either just me, or there's a perfectly logical explanation for this that i'm just missing but: why is it so bright? it seems so... well i can't think of a better word to describe it than 'bright'. it seems overly bright. is this just me or what?

anyway, great song. it always gets stuck in my head :) classic disney FTW!

  • Definitely one of the coolest dogs in history.

  • those sausages have been through so much

  • Billy Joel is the man!! Disney needs to get him and Elton John to sing in more of their films!

  • Has anyone noticed that some of the dogs and the people in this song are also the same people and animals in Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians?

  • I first saw this in 88 I was 5! I still don't know why it never came out on VHS till 96. No worries I have it on DVD! I still luv it to this day! Wish Disney would still make great movies like this again!! Now its all about tween garbage shows like Hannah Montana,Jobros,etc... THOSE SHOWS STINK!!!

  • @RodStewartfan1

I agree Hanna and Jonas suck major dick! i saw this when i was 7 3 times in theaters and did you had any merchandise as well? i too was sad when it never came out on video the next year after it's inital release because i wanted it and would ask various stores will come to video and they didn't know then when i was 10 i would stop asking and had my stuff to remember it. I did see it's re-issue at 14 and bough it on video, i do own the 2002 DVD as well and still enjoy the film.

  • @RodStewartfan1 I swear, Chris Crocker is more mature than you! >:(

  • Favorite song as a child. Made me want to live in NYC.

  • WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Better than Miley Cyrus BS.

  • ever notice, theres more dogs then people walking them in this movie lol

  • Finally I found this song witht he original audio, I keep finding others where the voices sound more..different, hard to explain.

  • I had no idea until today that this movie was originally released in 1988. When they re-released it in '96, I thought it was a new movie. :P

It's amazing that this gem actually came out BEFORE the "official" beginning of the Disney Renaissance that came with the release of 'The Little Mermaid.' O&C is just as awesome as the films that came after TLM.

  • @DuchessAliana

Indeed and i was there when O&C premiered at 7 and saw it 3 times and this was one of the top 10 highest grossing movies of 1988 and this with Great Mouse Detective and Roger Rabbit started the renaissance as it's roots began there. Unfortunately O&C was forgotten after a year when it never was released on video and upset the kids of my generation (80's and early 90's kids to plain 80's kids) as it took 7 longass years to come to video.

  • Love this film :) takes me back :)

  • @2:14 :)

  • Oh sorry, I meant

  • At around 1:00 when the dogs are all looking up, you see 3 of the dogs from lady and the tramp; the black Scottish terrier, the old hound dog, and the middle aged spaniel girl dog. I thought that was pretty awesome:)

  • Roger AND Pongo! <3

and I <3 this movie, it was one of my favorites when I was little.

  • I just noticed that when Dodgers wearin the hot dogs his scarf is gone

  • hum my cam Is running abd i am really bored with all that stuff

  • The swedish singer got a much moore nicer voice then this american singer. tough it sounds moore uggly in swedish....

  • @asevstudios I disagree. Swedish singer was great but this Billy Joel's version is unbeatable.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos Well the swedish singer got a more harmony and powerful/sharp voice the american singer sounds way to much country, tough the song sounds best in the english language XD

  • My FAVORITE of all the Disney movies!

They need to make more movies like this nowadays.

  • I just adored this song I listened to it over and over :)

    I wish they'd make a second one <3

  • the dalmatian with the red leash made me think of Pongo, so i thought that was cool, and i never notices it before:) this is by far the best Disney movie ever

  • Man, Dodger would've been best friends with the Tramp xD

  • Man, those dogs got their swagger on! :)

  • man, every time we watch this movie at school, this got everyone, and i mean EVERYONE, singing, saying whooohooohooo and/or clappin. it be a virus. a good one! :D

  • One of my favorite movies ever

  • 7 people don't have street savoir-faire :P

  • This movie had some of the best music from all the Disney classics.

  • Pongo!! :)

  • 7 people worried and cried.

  • this is the best song ever

  • best disney sone evar(best billy joel song to).....

  • Guys, you have to watch this song in Jewish.

  • @yukichan6108 Jewish is a language?

  • I want this movie :(

  • @bcount1 I have it!! mwahahah

  • I still have this movie. :D

  • that awsome song lol xx

  • It's Pongo at 3:15

  • HELL YES

  • 2:15 haahahahahaha awesome kitty :DDD lol

  • ahhh when disney was amazing

  • This movie taught me about the cruel realities and indifference of life as a child.

It made me so depressed I started smoking crsytal meth and injecting morphine and snorting wellbutrin. I am addicted to over 40 different substances not counting legal and prescription drugs and amphetamines. I never taught my seven preteen children about safe sex and I got STD's from sharing needles with them. It's all because of this movie.

That's why I gave it a thumbs down.

  • @HoyleShite That never could be possiblle!!

  • @lpsgirl1100

you have so much to learn about life

  • @HoyleShite well there is no excuse for that.. youre fucked up and weak minded :L not the movies fault

and its even worse that you made that up too, you sick freak
