I find one of the comments very funny in it's odd truth that just can't help but stand out when I saw this I got the same impression of Nancy n glen from nightmare on elm st. Its odd but creepy they honestly resemble them very much without even trying this is the notion I got from watching as well they reminded me so much of them then again this is an old movie of a totally diff era n generation compared to most crappy films out now.

Dennis Quaid's character, Phil Lawver is so cold, miserable, and unable to see beyond money and influence in the future that the only way he felt he could get to a free, tender-hearted, sensitive, romantic girl like Gail was labeling her a tramp, and raping her. He didn't really even believe in falling in love. Sad guy.

no, putch was the son of the actress who played edith. i am sorry, but there is another actress who was in johnny dangerously that has a similar name and that always keeps me confused. putch and his mom did a tv movie together called angel dusted. putch was also in jaws 3 in 3-d. valerie also dated steven speilberg in real life!

scott was also in a short lived series back in the 70's about the 1950's called sons and daughters. it was really, really good. it started around the same time as happy days, but sadly didn't last. where as happy days was a comedy, sons and daughers was a drama.

the book and this movie are both great. kathleen beller turns in a heart breaking performance. she is a great actress and a true natural beauty. watch for actor david keith in a very minor role.
