  • All you can hear is the chicks screamin their asses off in the background. Would loved to have heard some of the step. Ive seen all of their performances and they've done a really good job!!!!

  • Next time y'all tape your sorority, don't scream so much. Can't here the stepping.

  • Been watchin these chick all over you tube! THese mamas are bad!! Hands down some great steppers! From a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated!!

  • towards the end, it is amazing!

  • look sellout09...if ur only response can b about "reading comprehension" as a comeback u can do one thing...mentally annihilate yourself. face the fact that i didnt say you all had a bad performance...i simply said that the team got the wow factor to b added into the factor...plain and simple. if yall r gonna b that nice, then win another national competition again...

  • that last one was for sellman09

  • @BBO1914 Bimbo1914 if you notice my comment was as follows: "if you do a search you go back throughout the years and see that ZTA has been doing this (and doing it well) for several years. A lot of the steps in every show are repetative... they simply put on a better performance. 2 months ago "

  • @sellman09 sellout09...if u notice one thing...given the performance is good when it comes down to precision...the only reason yall would get more applause than most would b because of the simple fact that you all would get what u would call "the wow factor." plain and simple...jus like it would b the same as most who would see a non-divine nine team step at any show. the sad thing is that now ever since lame movies like stomp the yard made stepping hollywood. real research would show u that

  • @BBO1914 this started all in africa. smh at all this nonsense that ur tryin to back....as a matter of a fact mentally annihilate yourself jus cuz. i hope yall do as much community service as yall do stepping...

  • @BBO1914 i can still that reading comprehension and research isn't your forte. I find it funny that you continue to make this a race issue. Why can't you just give the white girls some props. They simply won with a better routine... "awe factor" or not... they simply won. Don't strain yourself with attempting to be clever with response... just let go... loser!

  • get ur facts right before u even start tryin to say that u or anyone in ur chapter or org say that they r made up steps. just talk to the ppl u say supposedly "made up" or "created" those steps because i knw my sources show that they actually were the originators of some of the steps yall did. kudos to steppin with precision and energy but off originality...lets b real...do ur research before u come off lookin silly

  • That was dope ladies representin for Arkansas Razorbacks dats what up. Lemme just say don't let none of dis racial crap get to ur mindz. jus cuz yall won dont mean nun ppl jus hatin. Ima stepper to, n yall r my idols, I hope wen I cum to Arkansas dis summer I mite c yall. Dat wuld b grate.

  • I'm glad these girls won Sprite Stepoff with the Matrix, this Beyonce wannabe stuff wouldn't have won them the trophy at Sprite Stepoff. They went hard there, which is exactly what they should have done, and proved they weren't some silly white girls. This routine would have made them look like just that.

  • Ironically, they didn't win with this show. The Kappa Deltas actually won the 2009 Unity Step Show. The ZTAs won with the Matrix show (Sprite Step Off) in 2008.

  • That was fucking insane!!!!!! That's what I'm talking about!!!!!!

  • WoW

  • GET 'EM!

    ZTA is the truth, lmfao.

I'm so annoyed w/ all the bickering about Black, White, Yellow, Green...

Spare me, when a team is good they're good.

If you're mad because they can do YOUR steps better than YOU. Then you need to step your game up!

With much love, respect and unity to all of my fellow Greeks that are taking the high road and exemplifying our highest ideals in our reactions to their win!

  • As a member of AKA, I have to give it to ZTA, they are bad to the bone. When you beat, you just beat. Step your game up. I saw all the teams and ZTA was the best.

  • @thtchocolategrl Keep on speak he truth my sister!

  • i have to say that i am seriously let down by all members (black & white) of our Greek communities for turning this into a racist and bigoted ordeal. Period. I get so tired of ANYONE complaining about racism on either side. This competition was a fantastic display of skill and poise. I agree that if you don't want to be beat out by a bunch of "Becky's", then y'all need to step your game up! This should never ever have become a "Black or White" issue.

  • I'm a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and have seen (and participated in) quite a few step shows. I must say ZTA did a great job. I did just hear on NPR, however, that they will now share first place with the AKAs because of a scoring discrepancy. Win-Win situation.

  • I attended an HBCU, an I will say it.....you can'teven hate on'em. now there is a lot to be said about tradition, and culture......well, we gave it away. Sold it to the highest bidder. My answer, get more creative!!!!! or remember what stepping is really all about

  • Wow...a simple dance routine/youtube video clip becomes a "my race is better than your race" rant. This country is truly going down the shitter.

  • @kuza01 I agree 100%. What a joke. If anyone ever wondered why racism still exists, just read these comments. It was a contest for God's sake.

  • okay, I think ZTA did amazing at Unity and at Sprite. I really can't believe they didn't place at Unity. But I do think they might have over stepped their boundaries a little bit with Sprite. I guess I thought is was marketed more towards the Divine 9 rather than NPC. BUT it didn't specify, so they are justified in competing in Sprite, though I think it is disrespectful to AKA for showing us their culture and ZTA wasn't the most humble about it. Just a student of the UofA's opinion

  • totally agree

  • My hat goes off to them...great show...loved the exit! Lots of creativity!

  • Dayum these girls killed it!!! They did way better than some D9 teams I've seen. People shouldnt get mad, just STEP your game up. Stop all the extra stuff and stick to pure stepping! Congrats ZTA!!

  • This competition is huge at the UofA for all the "white" Sororities who are competing against each other. I hate that all this drama has been started over something that has raised alot of money for the AKA philanthropy. Isn't that what brotherhood and sisterhood is all about...the greater good?. Look at the bigger picture. It is not like stepping is something hidden behind closed doors! This is not something the AKA did to the rest of the 'Black" sororities and frat's.

  • For you all who don't know. AKA's host a step show ever year at the UofA to raise money for their philanthropy, and have been doing so at least since 1996. This All started as a great thing it brought all the Frat/Soro together on campus. For the first few years they did teach a step to the teams, but the girls had to make up their own routines. I don't think they have been taught a step in several years by the AKA's and have created the show on their own for quite some time now.

  • Those White Girlz did there thang. Even the ones with no rhythmn stuck to the routine in perfect formation, sync and beat. Wow. I was blown away. I am the editor of a puiblication for minorities. Wow! Wow! Wow!

  • @vizirus, thats funny since I heard that AKA statement in the show before the regionals even started. But seriously I don't care ZTA did their thing. Maybe some other organizations will follow there lead and make the competitions even better. Be Owt Ques! 1 DB Fa96...

  • Go head Beckys...Go head!!!!

  • Stop HATIN". Those girls got down.

  • to all you dumb people talking shit...aka's didn't teach zta anything...zta beat aka at the sprite step off regionals so aka starting talking alot of shit...and whats ironic, zta went on to win the sprite step off=National Champs=$150,000 so get your facts straight dumasses

  • dem hoes was wack

  • VERY NICE.......I'm impressed.....really

  • Dang, black people can't have anything of our own!!! Haven't you stolen enough! Jazz, rock n roll, hip-hop, and now steppin'? This is very sacred to us. Get your own culture! Oh, I forgot, you don't have one.

  • im sick of hearin black folk say "we cant have shit!" i think the real problem with us black folk is that we want EVERYTHING or feel like we supposed to have EVERYTHING. we act like if one white person do something we do, they own it. whites never said they started jazz, rock, hiphop or steppin or claimed it as they own. i mean white canadians made up basketball and when the nba started we couldnt play but now look at who dominate basketball. you dont see white claimin blacks stole hoopin

  • It wold b good if all the damn people wasnt screaming!!!!!! Thats one thing that black greeks dont do. get yall shyt 2gether but nice

  • Well done ladies of ZTA. Very impressive.

  • Who are the ladies competing against?

  • @naptown I agree. I was raised in the south I am appalled that they shared that sacred part of the greek organization. i wasnt shocked that the AKA were the ones to give them the help and get made cause they beat them at there own game. havent they learned from history. Like Paul Mooney says" White folks never let niggas have anything. They always stealing shit".

  • Comment removed

  • @hupyt been golfing a long time there???? we didnt steal anything and you racism should be put to rest welcome to 2010 we have come along way and comments like yours are ignorant... Obama is president and look a black olypian speed skater go figure AMerica rocks so learn what unity means

  • i see that was a bitter pill to swallow. there is truth in everything i am saying. white folks have been proven thru documented history as being stealers. i stand by it.. yall dont let us have shit !!

  • have shit? work for shit... how bout it bro? steppin isn't just a black thing... neither is rap... or RnB... just like sports aren't a black or white thing! Get over your racist shit!!!

  • work for it.. how about over 300 years of FREE work... if that is not work I dont know what it is. Since you so noted we HAVE all those art forms.. and it does make it a " BLACK THING" we created it.. there it is. Yall dont let us have SHIT

  • @hupyt Okay, is it 300 or 400 or 1000? This sort of retort is getting so tired because we have been hearing it for (what seems like) 300 years.

  • We have only been truely free for about 40 yrs. Life is a bitch anyway. Dem wack ass hoes have to share the prize with the AKA's. White folks always got to talk shit with they stealing ass.

  • Look a here CRACKER It doesnt matter how long,, we will keep talking about..It was wrong PERIOD. The truth is truth.. I know it HURTS. Honkeys wont let us HAVE SHIT

  • So now i'm a cracker and a honkey... I won't stoop to your level of ignorance. People like you is what is wrong with the world today the reason why some people can't put the past to rest and drive forward. "Honkey wont let us have shit..." I can see that you're destine for failure in sad, sheltered and close minded little life. You should really consider expanding your horizons and learn from the past to make the future better. You do realize that you're bitching about a step show, right???

  • and black people... mexicans... or any other race has never stolen anything? Once again... your ignorance prevails. Keep the comments coming. You're quite a comic. You should take your show on the road ;)

  • I don't kno' if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a rumor that the zeta tau alpha copied a routine from the alpha kai apha, I heard that when I was watchin' the sprite step off show.

  • @RealGurl920 they originally taught them but they went off on their own from what they said...but those are recycled steps from other orgs, AKA and Sigma from what ive seen

  • if you do a search you go back throughout the years and see that ZTA has been doing this (and doing it well) for several years. A lot of the steps in every show are repetative... they simply put on a better performance.

  • @sellman09

my question is to u is when did u cross for u to even say i need to do any research...because i personally knw some of the ppl who originally made up the steps that i am referring to and yes they r part of my org and sister sorority (Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority). yes maybe ur steps r done from in ur chapter from a few yrs back but not as far as the ones that i knw that r not jus similar but pretty much done exactly the same as the steps.

  • Typically, with such a large step team you have 1 or 2 folks who are just off, have no rhythm or just can't catch the beat, but all of these ladies seem to be on point. they must be dancers or just plain talented.

  • @CaptainServeALot Yes, just about all of them are dancers and damn good dancers as well as talented. They work hard and it pays off.

  • Dang!!!

  • Yes the ladies did a good job saw them at TSU, however I'm am confused to see that we as educated people African Americans at that continue to give our history away...... So if you want kudos for that then so be it but showing them something that has been a part of our history to me is just dumb, dumb, dumb. Now whenever WE have a step show we will have to let them come in can we have something of our own or are yall still willing to give our history away!!!!!!!!!!! SMH

  • this was a gud job by the ladies...choreographed show or not...good job. i love the fact that if u use other orgs steps frat/sorority, im glad yall did it justice and actually made it look good.

trust me i have taught other other non-divine nine orgs how to step and not everyone is capable of stepping. shouts to the AKA's who helped get them started.

  • I never heard of ZTA until this year, but ladies, this show was excellent. And ya'll transitions were tight!! Keep it up ya'll! Hope to see ya'll spread over more into the mid-west states.

  • However you ladies came up with the routine very nice job ladies.

  • Also, I would LOVE their show if I wasn't distracted and annoyed by the CONSTANT screaming by the audience.

guess they enjoyed it too. :)

  • @CrayzeKittyKat they were told that audiance involvement was part of the score and oh we didnt place here they said part of the deductions was crowd participation lol

  • They are pretty good but I think that if the rumor about them having a choreographer does make me look at them a little different in that most of the step teams that I know can come up with steps, themes, and routines all on their own.

  • You've gotta give it to these girls...they're good. Plus, it doesn't matter if they've paid someone to choreograph them or not....if you can't DO the steps, the money would be wasted...and they can do the steps.

  • Big Ups..But Funny how these girls paid money to get this choreographed

  • Ok....ZTA! As a member of the Oldest and the Coldest, i def think these ladies were on point. They def. honored the tradition of stepping...big ups to ZTA.......0000006!

  • great girls you rock tht was a great step performance
