It wasnt the actual mace that dropped. it was one of the pieces, you need 30 or 40 pieces to put it together, along with completing yogg on some sort of hard mode. it becomes a ilvl245 mace with a nice proc.

What i wonder is why the fight without the Thorim keeper is so much harder. The Immortal Guardians will stay alive when you've dpsed them down so more pressure is put on tanking and healing. The loss of the 10% damage debuff only means you need better dps than required for this fight. If ofcourse thats impossible to reach, then the Alone in the Darkness achievement would be impossible. :O

Take a look at the video of exodus bugging the encounter.

Now, imagine all those adds fully functional, and hitting extremely hard if they are not kept at 1% hp. Now, imagine all of them healing themselves to 100% hp in a couple of seconds, if everything is not executed PERFECTLY (a little healing always happens, which will have to be dpsed down).

Know that, in a "real" alone in the darkness attempt, more adds would spawn, as more time would be spent dpsing them instead of the boss.

and even when they could COMPLETELY ignore the adds they had what? 20 seconds left on enrage?

AitD is impossible right now, plain and simple, because there are too many adds and no way to target the ones healing once they've reached a certain point, not to mention the fact that the kill would easily be 2 minutes longer, if not more, if you had to "kill" the watchers again

DPS needs are too high, with no way to target the right add

There's still the issue of lacking dps though, even perfectly executed there's simply no way you're taking down all the adds and the boss, even if none of the adds heal anything at all...
