A Religion can be anything really that you strongly believe in, that has followers.

I could start a "Religion" like Scientology, but leave out all the bad stuff that is claimed, and I think it would be a good thing for people.

Most people come to a general consensus about what a Religion is, and what it's not.

A Religion to most people consists of worshiping a God in one form or another.

But I believe you could start a "spiritual religion" that teaches you to be a better person, and to help people out, that doesn't necessarily revolve around worshipping a God, that doesn't mean you couldn't believe in God, you can if you want to, but the main idea is to learn to be good, and help ppl.

This would be a good thing.

The problem with religions is they seem to be fucked up in one way or another, if the religion doesn't accept ppl in other religions, and they all do that, then they are all fucked up for this reason. But I think if you could create a religion that allows you to worship whichever God you wanted to, but the main idea of the religion is to just be good to people, and treat the planet right.
