I Wonder if this speech was addressed to Congress via the State of the Union Address if it would awaken the logic and common sense in the idiots of congress?
Unforunately there were only like 4 people in there who had time to listen to common sense while the rest where off giving interviews to MSNBC or Fox News.
Our dear DR. Paul is dedicated to "salvaging" the republican party. But alas, I fear it is a lost cause. There is too much outside influence on the politicians. I dearly wish he would join the Constitution party and run on their ticket. I fear he would just be ignored by the media because it seems no one of influence wants him to be too well heard. Last time he was constantly shorted and ignored. Too few people know of the constitution party to bother checking it out so it would futile.
Nothing we do will appease them or end the hatred.
The US will have to withdraw, stay out, and keep our guard up.
If we are no longer there, they will not be able to fight our troops on their terms.
There is a fear that they will come here when the troops pull out but I seriously doubt that. We will have to be vigilant to prevent another 9/11 and to keep funding from reaching them, but they are not going to come here once we bring troops home.
Well I just seen a news article about this organization called the EPA trying to hurry up and tax carbon emissions. The states and congress seem to be holding off their attack for now,I bet their wating for the elections this year. Also I find it interesting that Obama gave the timeline to pull out of the middle east a month before the elections. I might be wrong on that but I remember seeing that on the news about the timeline.
@Fishstix9000 people are in love with a 2 party system is because thats all there is. Many people dont vote. Without funding you cant run. Without funding there is no air time without sending the message corperations want to be heard you dont get air time. Look at ron paul in 08 he was banned by many tv stations. The internet was his main pusher. Ron paul is not alone in his actions they just get no publicity
What the hell. Are these the only guys who show up to work. There are like 4 guys in the whole room. I am not surprised that Dr. Paul is one of the only guys at work.
.as soon as a congresman sighns a pice of legislation that he has not red, he no longer represents the people! he now blindly represents the intrests of the bill. thay should be removed to find a true representitive of the people
Loved Ron in the movie Bruno! He's one of the last in modern American government that isn't a liar & has what's best 4 the American people in mind. The rest of Congress should take notes!
The politicians represent their party, not the citizens who pay them. This country has to revolt against these egotistical leaders who follow trends and party politics. They truly spend our money like water to pad there resume and set up contacts for the next $ 300, 000 a year move, along with there pension. What a scam! We all need to read more and know what's going on in this country. They need to be held accountable, forget about letting them leave, they should be charged criminally!
No surprise! Ron Paul is a good person, both inside and out, as he has principles that don't change according to poles and or the wind. He truly stands for something, right or wrong. I must say I don't agree with 100% of everything he believes in, however I trust him! That is more than I can say about any other politician in this corrupt two party dictatorship. We need to keep the politicians feet to the fire and let them start representing us for a change, like Dr Paul.
Ron Paul mustn't be a Freemason, Council on Foreign Relations or Bilderberg member. He is talking directly about their centuries of entitlement in this social group to take this nation to war on business reasons, but lie to the American people about it as some existential or ideological threat. This is really good. They are just trying to keep business as usual, enriching themselves on war spoils and the oil industry when we now need something radically different for a sustainable future.
We need to abolish the gun law. Just put it this way, if you are a thief, and know subject A might has a gun and subject B does not has a gun. Who are you going to jump?

That's great logic. Drugs Gun, Crushed national defense (which Ron Paul won't crush), let alone any national defense, and a nuclear world, were all in the dark ages.

A few decades of radio (flag waving zombies) will do that. The vast majority of mainstream "conservatives" (as opposed to right-leaning AND left-leaning libertarian and "liberal-tarian"-minded folks) are stuck on Reagan/Limbaugh and will remain stuck as long as they feed their heads with that junk. Paul didn't fall asleep in the 80s.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well you can say whatever you want and it seems with many liberal democrats you can even make it up as you go but it doesn't change the facts. Reagan came into a much worse situation than obama by far and turned it around immediately. As a matter of fact, Reagan's polices carried the nation to debt free status until Clinton took office and started the lending that sunk our boat. Clinton also started Rendition which every American should research. Bush took on the worse debt ever after Clinton.
I also voted for Reagan and obviously you are the one who lacks ANY knowledge about it whatsoever. You're no more than a lame liberal who is content with others pissing on your head along with yourself. Let me guess, you weigh 400 lbs and you think drinking green tea all day will help but it doesn't. You're on welfare, food stamps and disability and now you're wanting even more? Am I close enough? The question is, do we as American want this type person around us and one as our president? NOPE!
Only a complete moron would ask someone a question within their own post and answer for the person while still within the post. Obviously debating is not your strong point. RPGR, your name says it all, you have nothing and I mean absolutely NOTHING to offer so once again, troll on putz!
Reagan ran up the deficit 3x faster then Carter. And he also implemented gun laws.Reagan was a corporatist as well. There's nothing good about Reagan.
The comment lists "conservatives" for obvious reasons. Paul is a conservative (though I see him as a libertarian). Reagan made "conservative" essentially a meaningless word, certainly "fiscal conservative". Remember, it was the vast majority of conservatives (95%?) that did NOT support / want to hear what Ron Paul had to say during the primaries - when it counted. Indeed, they mocked him. As of 01-20-09 some began to listen. Ask yourself why.
I do not get hung up on party loyalty. I call them as I see them without regard for party affiliation. Party is just another distraction, just like race, social status, class, gender, sexuality etc. These issues cloud what both parties have done and are doing to our country as we type. I like Paul and what he stands for. He is a good man and would make a fine president, whom I would more than likely vote for and support. That being said, I do not blindly follow anybody, especially politicians.
Our government is controlled by secret societies of white people. The Skull & Bones and the Freemasons, both secretive fraternities, consisted of 17 US presidents, countless Supreme Court judges, lawyers, doctors, economists, private bankers, and fortune 500 CEOs. Its the 1% that controls the other 99%. Every once in a while, we throw in a black man to give the illusion that black people have a voice. My race has always tried taking over the world, what makes you think its stopped?
All very true. Most people are too distracted or intellectually lazy to find these thing out that effect their everyday life. In bad ways, I might add.
Why is it so difficult to get us out of a military policing in another nation? I'm with Ron Paul, "we marched in, we can just turn around and march out"...sounds good to me.
If being there is a mistake, if going over there was a mistake, if the whole thing is bad policy and immoral, then why be concerned about "winning"? What are we gonna "win" exactly? Instead of asking HOW we're going to "win", you should ask WHY we're fighting in the first place. How is more killing (don't foget the HORRIFIC death toll of Afghan and Iraqi civs) going to do anything for the "fallen" soliders who voluntarily signed up togo kill foreigners?
your wise if one of those children stand's in heaven and you no they will be and say's you killed me why are you here at this gate? Where will you go and they dissipate and the black smoke that caused there death was everywhere dragging them down lower' lower' and then the fire came' And burning ash -n- smoke filled the blackness with and airy light that only seemed visible at night' The Night that will never end and the last person they will see is the one that accused them for killing me
It is a moot point to say we are in Afghanistan because of the extremists because they are already here. We saw their handy work in Little Rock and Ft. Hood. I disagree with isolationism but agree with him that we need to rethink our foreign policy. We are in too many places with too little return on our investment.
We spend trillions having bases all over the world. We could cut that number in half and still be effective supporting our allies.
Those last words in your statement are yours, not mine. I like 95% of what Paul stands for and support him and his cause. I do not agree with anyone 100% or try to vilify others who have less than 100% support of someone who I like as a politician.
I was referring to what the taxpayers got in return for their money being spent by Politicians. An abstract comparison. I am outta here too much zealousness for me.
Read previous comments please. You claim I get my talking points from Mc Cain and you don't even know me. I was under the mistaken impression that all of Pual's supporters were fair minded and open people. I was wrong.
I actually did go through the previous comments to see if I was writing something that was wrong. Guess I missed something.
The McCain thing was a joke. I thought that would be evident. Since most McCain supporters use the talking appoint of Ron Paul Being an isolationist. Did I offend you?Thirdly, It's false that Pauls supporters are fair minded and open. Alot are zealots if you will. (And yes, I do support Ron). I don't know why you would think I'm not open minded. I was simply correcting you
I have been a student of politics for many years and served in the military like Ron Paul. He was an officer, I was enlisted. Our perspectives were different as to what we experienced based on this fact alone. Both of my sons are now serving as is my Wife. I listen to their first hand accounts of what is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan rather than that of any politician. I do know what an isolationist is and am familiar with the definition. Thanks for the correction and clarification.
It's all understandable. And I somewhat understand you're argument. I would like to say that I hope you're children are safe when over there. Though, I don't know how, it somewhat comes off as an insult when debating someone in you're position to say, that there efforts over there are "unproductive", and they are used as political advantage of all things. With in 10+ years, we will have an economic meltdown like nothing you've ever seen. Then we will see the real danger, not over seas, but here.
the floor of the house is almost always empty when someone is speaking. The speeches are for the American people, not necessarily for other members. They are carried live on tee vee and if you missed a speech, you can find it in the video archives at CSPAN.
General Smedly Butler was a marine with several purple hearts. He was recruited by Prescott Bush
(granddaddy to George W Bush) to overthrow Franklin Delano Roosevelt, essentially steal the government for the traitor Prescott Bush and the banks. Some of these criminals are still around ? Smedly Butler wrote "War is a Racket" war kills the people the elite would just a soon see dead anyway, and it makes them rich. Think about that if your in the service or have a loved one there.
ron paul is the last guy to speak like a liber(t)a(ria)l. or like anyone who believe in what the true value of western countries are.I think Alexis de Tocqueville and the founders can be pround of him. unfortunatly this window in ages is just about to close like the athenian republic desapear against kindom of Sparta and the Persian ( nothing to do with iranian of today) at the time for the same reasons. I would like to invite anyone to read Thucydide on this matter.
Where are all politicians paid from our taxes? The House is empty. They all have been bought by banking cabal and corporations. Only real patriot Ron Paul and few others are always there. These are sad times.
stop putting those useless comments, everyone watching this channel obviously agrees with what is being said here. Share it on facebook, twitter and other social channels, to educate your friends.
I listened to Mike Malloy last night, and he did a real "in depth" timeline into our invasion of the Middle East (to include Afghanistan...which I know is not ME.....but for discussion.)
Ron Paul does speak some rational truth here. He's a bit loony on many other domestic topics, but he has a very clear idea of where we are and where we need to go.
Problem is....it's NOT about bringing democracy or getting OBL, or any of that other crap. It's about OIL.
Can't be too specific, as I've listened to him at the debates and seems that he would just as soon cut all federal spending as well as social net for this country. Seems a bit extreme. Some good ideas, like repealing NAFTA...some pretty radical like cutting major social programs that are essential to keep our nation from being a third world country with masses of ignored poor.
You should read more into it. Most of those programs are funded through money we don't have. We have to print up money. When we print up money, logically, we decrease the buying power of the dollar, and the price of goods go up, ultimately hurting the "ignored poor", and not the rich That's what should be looked at . All those programs I guarantee, do not do what they were intended to. Department of Education. Agriculture. So on so forth. And I know from past experience DoE is a Pos.
What's keeping this country from "being a third world country" is not these social programs. What keeping it from being a "third world country", is also leading down the path TO being a third world country. We create false wealth, and give it to the rich and or poor, and we assume that our economic messes are fixed. We have gone down the course from where we can tell, that we have no money. Those social programs, welfare programs, them selves are collectivist institutions,so will inherently fail
i suggest you spend more time on it if you're really interested.. if everyone can listen to an idea and judge on first sight whether it is extreme or not or whether it is even correct, why would any policy maker make mistakes. i wish the issues you say he is "loony" on were that simple. mind you he is perhaps the most knowledgeable person today in congress, you would be surprised what materials he diligently studied to come up with those arguments.
I like Ron Paul and I've been called a neocon, whatever that is. We need a strict constitutionalist to be in office after the mess we have now in this gangster government.
I don't believe the American taxpayers know what's coming down the pipe.
Looks like a 30 year depression that will be many times worst than the great depression.
How about following your own US Constitution for a change these endless wars and counterfeiting currency will turn USA into a 3rd world dung heap, an economic wasteland.
Frankly I don't believe you can stop it 0 effort has been make USA safe and prosperous. Stick a fork in USA looks like you're well done.
thank you for the share.. :)

Is it not clear by my comment that I agree with what RP has to say here?
RonPaulGeorgeRingo 2 years ago
No. I'm use to most military related families disagreeing with me on this issue. Lol, don't I feel like the moron.
Betty5150 2 years ago
A few decades of radio (flag waving zombies) will do that. The vast majority of mainstream "conservatives" (as opposed to right-leaning AND left-leaning libertarian and "liberal-tarian"-minded folks) are stuck on Reagan/Limbaugh and will remain stuck as long as they feed their heads with that junk. Paul didn't fall asleep in the 80s.
RonPaulGeorgeRingo 2 years ago 5
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Well you can say whatever you want and it seems with many liberal democrats you can even make it up as you go but it doesn't change the facts.
AngryStudioEngineer 2 years ago
It is stunning how wrong you are. And I say that having voted for Reagan in 80. Good grief, turn off your radio, dude! It has sucked your brain out!
RonPaulGeorgeRingo 2 years ago 3
I also voted for Reagan and obviously you are the one who lacks ANY knowledge about it whatsoever. You're no more than a lame liberal who is content with others pissing on your head along with yourself. Let me guess, you weigh 400 lbs and you think drinking green tea all day will help but it doesn't. You're on welfare, food stamps and disability and now you're wanting even more? Am I close enough? The question is, do we as American want this type person around us and one as our president? NOPE!
AngryStudioEngineer 2 years ago
ASE, I'm self-employed and have no party affiliation? How 'bout you?
Yeah, that's what I thought. All TALK, no WALK . . . textbook Reagan/Limbaugh ditto-head. Lost in the land of 1980s corporate welfare . . .
The following quote is from YOUR site: "The reason we elected Obama is because he promised us he would immediately fix the economy."
This ALONE proves (as the president would say), that you - take PRIDE in being ignorant.
RonPaulGeorgeRingo 2 years ago
Only a complete moron would ask someone a question within their own post and answer for the person while still within the post. Obviously debating is not your strong point. RPGR, your name says it all, you have nothing and I mean absolutely NOTHING to offer so once again, troll on putz!
AngryStudioEngineer 2 years ago
Reagan ran up the deficit 3x faster then Carter. And he also implemented gun laws.Reagan was a corporatist as well. There's nothing good about Reagan.
Betty5150 2 years ago 6
Well isn't that a breath of fresh air. Good reply.
Betty5150 2 years ago 2
Complementing. They were omitted from the list on the post. I am suspecting because they were Democrats.
bertly71 2 years ago
The comment lists "conservatives" for obvious reasons. Paul is a conservative (though I see him as a libertarian). Reagan made "conservative" essentially a meaningless word, certainly "fiscal conservative". Remember, it was the vast majority of conservatives (95%?) that did NOT support / want to hear what Ron Paul had to say during the primaries - when it counted. Indeed, they mocked him. As of 01-20-09 some began to listen. Ask yourself why.
RonPaulGeorgeRingo 2 years ago 2

Why is it so difficult to get us out of a military policing in another nation? I'm with Ron Paul, "we marched in, we can just turn around and march out"...sounds good to me.
Boomer1949 2 years ago 5
I agree to a certain point with Ron Paul...my problem is leaving a War zone without achieving pure victory, does nothing but demean our fallen.
RecceMan90 2 years ago
Yeah, so just have more killed for no reason. That'll solve the problem.
thinkrevolution 2 years ago
What is "pure victory"? The last "pure victory" we've had was when? WWII. That would mean all out war. Rationing, victory gardens, a draft.
"Pure victory" will take supreme sacrifice, here at home, and overseas. I haven't seen that.
chewbaca1989 2 years ago
If being there is a mistake, if going over there was a mistake, if the whole thing is bad policy and immoral, then why be concerned about "winning"? What are we gonna "win" exactly? Instead of asking HOW we're going to "win", you should ask WHY we're fighting in the first place. How is more killing (don't foget the HORRIFIC death toll of Afghan and Iraqi civs) going to do anything for the "fallen" soliders who voluntarily signed up togo kill foreigners?
ashane77 2 years ago
your wise if one of those children stand's in heaven and you no they will be and say's you killed me why are you here at this gate? Where will you go and they dissipate and the black smoke that caused there death was everywhere dragging them down lower' lower' and then the fire came' And burning ash -n- smoke filled the blackness with and airy light that only seemed visible at night' The Night that will never end and the last person they will see is the one that accused them for killing me

It is a moot point to say we are in Afghanistan because of the extremists because they are already here. We saw their handy work in Little Rock and Ft. Hood. I disagree with isolationism but agree with him that we need to rethink our foreign policy. We are in too many places with too little return on our investment.
bertly71 2 years ago
"with too little return on our investment"????
WTF, these "too many places" are always sovereign nations of their own....
Your statement makes it sounds like "killing people, civilians" is just a collateral effect of doing "business"... that's really detached!
UnderseaCaveman 2 years ago
We spend trillions having bases all over the world. We could cut that number in half and still be effective supporting our allies.
Those last words in your statement are yours, not mine. I like 95% of what Paul stands for and support him and his cause. I do not agree with anyone 100% or try to vilify others who have less than 100% support of someone who I like as a politician.
bertly71 2 years ago
You said "too little return on our investment"...... that is very detached way of looking at War....
Geez, what's the "Price to Earnings" on our next collective investment (War with Iran).....????
UnderseaCaveman 2 years ago
I was referring to what the taxpayers got in return for their money being spent by Politicians. An abstract comparison. I am outta here too much zealousness for me.

For the last time... RON PAUL IS NOT DOES NOT SUPPORT ISOLATIONISM. He has said it himself MANY MANY times
konakevin777 2 years ago 5
Ron Paul is not an isolationist. Don't get you're talking points from John McCain. Look up the definition of Isolationism.
Ron Paul, as he's said over and over, that he wants to trade with people. That is not isolationism.
Remember, even when countries are at war, they will still have to trade there scarce resources to maintain them selves.
Betty5150 2 years ago 3
Read previous comments please. You claim I get my talking points from Mc Cain and you don't even know me. I was under the mistaken impression that all of Pual's supporters were fair minded and open people. I was wrong.
bertly71 2 years ago
I actually did go through the previous comments to see if I was writing something that was wrong. Guess I missed something.
The McCain thing was a joke. I thought that would be evident. Since most McCain supporters use the talking appoint of Ron Paul Being an isolationist. Did I offend you?Thirdly, It's false that Pauls supporters are fair minded and open. Alot are zealots if you will. (And yes, I do support Ron). I don't know why you would think I'm not open minded. I was simply correcting you
Betty5150 2 years ago
I have been a student of politics for many years and served in the military like Ron Paul. He was an officer, I was enlisted. Our perspectives were different as to what we experienced based on this fact alone. Both of my sons are now serving as is my Wife. I listen to their first hand accounts of what is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan rather than that of any politician. I do know what an isolationist is and am familiar with the definition. Thanks for the correction and clarification.
bertly71 2 years ago
It's all understandable. And I somewhat understand you're argument. I would like to say that I hope you're children are safe when over there. Though, I don't know how, it somewhat comes off as an insult when debating someone in you're position to say, that there efforts over there are "unproductive", and they are used as political advantage of all things. With in 10+ years, we will have an economic meltdown like nothing you've ever seen. Then we will see the real danger, not over seas, but here.

Thanks, I appreciate your comments and agree.

Believe it or not.
HulksHeroes 2 years ago
Just out of curiosity, what ideas is loony? Not attacking you or anything, just wondering.
And yea, it's always about oil, the special interests, and land. IT's nothing new.
Betty5150 2 years ago
Can't be too specific, as I've listened to him at the debates and seems that he would just as soon cut all federal spending as well as social net for this country. Seems a bit extreme. Some good ideas, like repealing NAFTA...some pretty radical like cutting major social programs that are essential to keep our nation from being a third world country with masses of ignored poor.
Worth reading up on however.
HulksHeroes 2 years ago
You should read more into it. Most of those programs are funded through money we don't have. We have to print up money. When we print up money, logically, we decrease the buying power of the dollar, and the price of goods go up, ultimately hurting the "ignored poor", and not the rich That's what should be looked at . All those programs I guarantee, do not do what they were intended to. Department of Education. Agriculture. So on so forth. And I know from past experience DoE is a Pos.
CONT'D.
Betty5150 2 years ago
What's keeping this country from "being a third world country" is not these social programs. What keeping it from being a "third world country", is also leading down the path TO being a third world country. We create false wealth, and give it to the rich and or poor, and we assume that our economic messes are fixed. We have gone down the course from where we can tell, that we have no money. Those social programs, welfare programs, them selves are collectivist institutions,so will inherently fail
Betty5150 2 years ago
i suggest you spend more time on it if you're really interested.. if everyone can listen to an idea and judge on first sight whether it is extreme or not or whether it is even correct, why would any policy maker make mistakes. i wish the issues you say he is "loony" on were that simple. mind you he is perhaps the most knowledgeable person today in congress, you would be surprised what materials he diligently studied to come up with those arguments.

I understand why the NeoCons and Pseudo-Republicans don't like Ron Paul.
Even though Paul served in the military, he gives the impression of being `weak' on defense, when that is in fact not the case at all.
We've gone from 'speak softly but carry a big stick' to `rant and rave loud platitudes while swinging a big stick the entire time'
