  • @saxbros It would definitely move the exhaust out alot better. That plus an intake, cam and 2bbl carb, she would run like a scolded dog

  • could you tell a difference in power with the efi manifolds?

  • Sounds very good

  • i got a 83 f-150 w/ 302 and i pulled the belt on the air pump but i wasnt sure if about pulling the hoses off of it. how do you tell whats smog and what can come off and what needs to stay? any help appreciated.

  • nice, looks just like mine. somebody should make a vid on how to rip all the emissions shit out of the 300...

  • did that on my 86' stepside, it runs great, hell even better but the check engine light is on (naturally), i had to switch back to earlier year carb to take all that smog shit off too haha

  • haha ok, that is sumtin new, but i dont get it, i looked throuh all the conversation, i dont get why it pops like that more like a v8 then purrs like a 6 banger, u said i t has no cam which would be my first guess, and doesnt look like a ll that much of power adding was done, just what u od to make it sound like it? is it literally just true dual straight pipe from the headers back? what u doing for exhaust? sounds nice man

  • Just true duals. The truck had 78,000 miles on it. The "log" exhaust manifold cracked, so I changed it out for the manifolds of a '91 with EFI. That allowed me to add two downpipes. Those just go straight back through two pro-flo turbos. Each bank of cylinders has it's own muffler. The reason is pops like that is because there is no cross-over pipe in the system to even out the sound pressures between the cylinders.

  • ah thats terrible to see a 300 with all that preformace killing emissions shit glued to it the true 300 6's were bare bones

  • None of the emissions stuff is active. Notice I removed the airpump. Everything else (ERG valve, etc) are blanked off to create a smooth plenum from the carb to the intake. They are simply there to "look good" to pass emissions. So don't worry, the truck has all the bare bones power a 300 should have.

  • thats good!

  • uh yeah to that yorchreloaded it is a 300 fords didnt have a 250 for the 83s well not the 6 cyls anyways and its clearly a 6 cyl the 250 was for the rangers f150 had the 300 6 cyl and 302 8 cyl dumbass

  • What's on it for exhaust?

  • i think this guy means 240 and that is a 300. great sound. good job

  • i think this guy means 240 and that is a 300. great sound. good job

  • that's not a 300, just a 250

  • beg to differ, but that is most definitely a 300.

  • Pretty sure the 250 was retired in fords in the late 60's...and GM started using it in the 70's...

  • dude its a 300 250 cant even compare to what a 300 puts out i had a versatile swather with a 250 in it wouldnt climb hills threw in a 300 now it spins the tires

  • does that thing have a cam in it?

  • almost 100% of all motors have cam's ( all 4 strokes that is )

  • Hahah, I think he means an aftermarket cam. And no, that 300 has a stock cam in it.

  • sounds good

  • How's the radiator fan looking man? I thought it was a bit loose on the clutch.

  • what tipe of exhaust u got on there n no header right i got a 81 f100 1 barell as well with a straight 6

  • i have an 94 EFI 4.9 and got mine killing the 302's, i put the accel super coil, with the accel super stock plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, a helix throttle spacer, k&n intake, and a 40-series flowmaster exhaust

  • you got a 4barrel on that

  • nope, 1 barrel

  • i would like to see more of it i am going to buy one today and any ideas would be great
