Make a paypal account Thunderf00t! Maybe everyone who watches your videos can donate a buck or two and you can get your camera back! Dooooo it! These videos are amazing. I am sure I am not the only one who would donate some money to see more of them.
Well there is your problem thunderf00t you're using "moviemaker." MOV is a pretty standard movie file if you were using a Mac. It also would have been pretty sweet if you could have gotten the video off the plane that crashed in the ocean.
T-foot= Just into California, going south on 101, stop at the "Lagoons" beaches, just south of Orick. {North of Eureka 30 miles}....Stone, Dry, Big Lagoons, are the best on the coast!
Lovely footage! A shame the clouds out in such a strong appearance, but hey.
I'm currently laid up on cancer meds, and I've been following the adventure all the way. While it's a big shame to lose the aerial cam, the smiles you've brought can't be measured in bucks.
I know I will be coming back to all of your fly over vids, when the winter sets in. You should Sell the crash video to recoupe the cost of the crash, IMO. I'm in for 5$.
A little less than MS movie maker, though. I used Sony Vegas and want to play around in After Effects. Avid might have some alright stuff but it's hard to get for free because they use hardware with it too, like Pro Tools. Apple's professional suite - forget it's name - looks pretty good but there's no Windows version.
Agreed. Mov is merely a container tho. The actual codec inside is likely standard mpeg2 or mpeg4. Perhaps h264. Windows Movie Maker only supports a half dozen, half-baked codecs. I convert before I edit in anything anyways, but editing the raw, unconverted is best.
It may be because he's flying at a much lower altitude; rc planes seem to behave more chaotically and lose control at high altitudes (previous footage was taken in the mountains).

It is so peaceful to watch the videos of the planes flying. This seems like such a spectacular trip.

What are you wearing on your head??
ScaryZeeba 3 years ago
I second this question. What is that thing?
Also, I continually thank you, Thunderf00t, for the sacrifices and effort you make to share your experiences with us.

Just answered my own question. In the "aerial video for idiots": it's the receiving/transmitting gear for the video.

You are truly an asset to Youtube. What a triumphant ending to this video.
