I knew the man (passed away too early in the 90's). Commercial was shot in Buffalo because they could do MUCH cheaper than CDN guys. That commercial was very effective and got a lot of response. I appeared in some of his later commercials.

Actulally was filmed in Canada the ad was fer a hair replacement and barber shop that a neigbour of mine owned some time ago

The voice-over man ("announcer") Canadiantalentshines mentions sounds a lot like Steve Mitchell. He did voice-overs for WNYB 49 when it started in the mid-'80s. Great voice. If it wasn't him, somebody can correct me.

If you watch closely you will see that he has a bare chest which explains where they took the hair from. *laughs*

The announcer is trying to be so serious that he comes off making the commercial cheesey.

that pool looks like the dolphin pool at the Niagara Falls, NY Aquarium. I could be hugely mistaken though.
