Daniel, so how busy is the PRC traffic? I guess I'm wondering how frequent are the flights from Shanghai Airlines, China Southern and Hainan (and others) in your opinion?
Take a look at the THAI DC-8 at Sungshan (as it was called then) I shot it there from the terminal back then. I wish I had video then was at this spot!
I like your Sungshan/Songshan shots...someone shot a China Airlines A330 there recently - it was poor quality, but will CI bring them there again?
That China Airlines A330 (CI680, B-18303) redirected to Songshan because of the bad weather or the strong crosswind at TPE (RCTP) then. I don't think CI will bring that big aircraft there again... The biggest plane in Songshan are A320/321, B757 or C130 for several years until that A330's appearance!
Actually in October, China Airlines, Eva Air, Japan Airlines, and ANA have decided to open the Taipei-Songshan to Tokyo-Haneda route. There will be 8 round flights a day, with 2 for each airline. Eva Air and China Airlines have officially announced that they were going to operate the A330 on this route; while Japan Airlines and ANA are expected to use the B767

The Cross-Strait Flights of PRC's traffic is about 2 or 3 per day now.
