@Bassistking Having owned one for a year now, I can say it does not. I wish it really did sound like that though. The engine sounds used in the movie were that of a 1980s porsche 928 and stock jet engine sound effects. Check out 928 exahust on here and you'll be able to kind of hear it.
@0utatime I remember seeing some documentary where the sfx guy claimed they used a 5.0 Ford V8. In the film it certainly sounds beefier and more American than a 928.
The "turbine" sound on the other hand is exactly the same as the one used for the landspeeder in Star Wars. It's not a stock jet engine, but (according to The Sounds of Star Wars by
J.W. Rinzler) the noise of some LA highway recorded through a vacuum cleaner hose.
@ashbyta that was from the first movie when Marty gave doc a letter about him getting shot by Libyan terrorists but doc refused to read it thinking that he shouldn't know to much about his future. Later, the 1985 doc decided to read it and saved his life.Marty asked why he decided to read it and doc answered "I thought about knowing to much about my own future and then I said what the hell"
@sootyferrari65 unfortunately they're all turned into time machines. Not only is everyone preparing for 2012, but
everybody keeps trying to go back in time and buy a standard delorean. No one can do it though cause no one can get their hands on plutonium or a even a mr fusion until until 5 years from now.
Hey if the cars not urs whos it belong to? and also u got the sound effects now how about soem visiual effects like using some bright lights as the car bursts into a ball of light and dissapears ? LOL
I put the owner of the car in the intro text. I'm not that great with visual effects so I didn't even bother. I really just put this up because I had people who were interested in it, and the owner told me he had liked it a while back.
dude are you going to put some more videos of this i loved it wow good job it looks like the way in the movie well not even close but good job man your friend in time jason

0:14 you can hear Doc Say " What The hel" (meant to spell it like that)

I want a regular Delorean that would be so awesome

@ashbyta A regular Delorean, but with a modern engine. The original engine was considered low quality even in the 1980s.

There's quite a few left and they're building new ones at DMC Houston (same style, new parts). I'm buying one next May from DMC Northwest.

Thanks. Nope that's all I have for now. The car doesn't belong to me. If I run across more footage that works, I'll do another :)

It doesn't look like an actual delorean. It looks too narrow. Is that just the video or what?
celidor 3 years ago
It is. The upload cropped the video an odd way for some reason :/
