@aliont because we dont waste time with mary had a little lamb and start on the stuff we love....if you dont love what you are playing u wont practice and u will be shit....plus self taught players are constantly trying to learn songs outside their range...like in his first vid. this means that with every song learnt they improve dramatically.

I absolutely LOVE guitar and music but practicing guitar feels more like a chore to me. Any ideas on how to help me stop feeling this way?
@aliont just find songs that you love that you feel are a bit outside your range and give it a solid go..i find that if the song is really hard its good to break it down..like just learn the intro and practice it until you can play it well and then move onto another part of the song....by playing what you like you will practice more and get better and by picking songs that are just a bit tough for you, you will push yourself and develop faster.
