One is about this boy who walks around in a castle, and I think the boy is or can turn into a wizard. The game isn't violent at all, you just walk around the castle and do stuff. Very innocent.
And the other one is this game where you are a man with blue/grey armor and helmet, and you walk around shooting, I think you have or can get a weapon which shoots oval-shaped blue, bullets/balls. And I don't think there is any particular music in it.
@FunkigaMoses for the first one is it Scooter's Magic Castle? As for the second one..Commander Keen? D/Generation? Hexen or heretic? not sure about that one.
@Gee403 Yeah, both Crusader titles easily had some of the best music in gaming at that point. It didn't hurt that they were using MOD stuff, which was relatively new and gave the music a much higher quality. Both soundtracks are absolutely fantastic and if you're interested in hearing them you can find them both around on Youtube, including one or two hour-long videos that are the entire soundtrack back-to-back.
Search "listing down the videogames I grew up on" on google. A guy in that topic listed nearly all the best PC games of the 1980s. Otherwise, search through abandonware sites or youtube vids. If it was for PC and very old (1980s) it is probably available in some abandonware site. You, however, will have to search through all their games or by genre or year in order to find it. I once did one of those searches and found the game I was looking for (Hard Hat Mack) which I played at 3.
hahah twinsen reference, i was really into that game, i wasn't into the goofy sprites, but you go in the sewer up on a moutain...etc etc...but crusader no remorse wicked awesome, games like this use to blow my mind apart, and some were hard enough i couldn't get all the way through, i loved this style games, the graphics amazing, it was really great, i was thinking about it recently wasn't completely sure on the title, thanks for posting!
It was more of the same but expanded. Normally that would make it mediocre but I actually like No Regret more. It had more refinement to it, something obvious when you fire up the first level.
They're both awesome games though, and yes, Weasel is great. I miss old school FMV cinematics.
I too played when I was 9 or so. I saw my dad playing it and started up my own game (on mama's boy of course) and loved every second of it.
lol almost look like a fallout style game (not that steaming pile of crap fallout 3(not actualy crap, but it wont live up to the series, i know this so dont try to tell me otherwise)lol)

Those guys that created DOSBox should be given medals! Quite simply, that utility has made retro PC gaming the biggest genre in 2009!!!!

Commander Keen is so damn skippy. I don't know why I haven't gotten the Steam copy yet, other than just plain stupidity.
