Vangelis and Jean-Michel Jarre should spend some time together experimenting with their creativity in music style. I think it'll bring up some very interesting stuff.
I have to express a deep respect for the wide variety of styles that Vangelis is capable of achieving. I would not essentially place this music in Blade Runner, more like Wall Street, as it resonates with images of Traders, NYSE, Private jets, opulence, and the ever dominating dollar. Especially from 0:34 onwards. In invokes images city slickers adjusting their expensive cuff-links and accessing their brick mobile phone and overused Filofax, with Daryl Hannah waiting in the that ave penthouse.
Cool synth rocking from an album all about being in a city. Released in the year when everybody went mad for 4 ninja turtles saving a city. New York to be precise.
Somehow, the first thing that comes to mind when I listen to this is Sir Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner." (No surprise, since Vangelis also wrote the soundtrack to that film.)
@Scifimaster92: I agree, it would not sound out of place in Blade Runner. Not to take anything away from Blade Runner's soundtrack - the best soundrack to me, hands down. Bar none.
Excellent track from an excellent album. Vangelis composed this entire album in a hotel room overlooking a city, hence the album name.

@chipdude72 I believe it was in Paris, but I'm not sure which Hotel. I'll find out if I can.

so much power, so much potential. I understand his vision, maybe not in the way he sees it, but its so good that he shared it with us.
