@Stoffinator2008 Well, it's highly cinematic, but you get plenty of control over your character, so it's not just a movie with small interactive bits (like MGS4 or Heavy Rain, the latter especially). If anything, it's a highly cinematic Tomb Raider game with some Gears of War mixed in.

My mom who is an avid hater of everything video game related... sat down... with spanish language and subtitles, happily watched me play from start to finish over the span of 4 days... this very game... She gave me 20 bucks to go re-buy the first game and is anxiously awaiting the third game to come out so she can get the complete story. O_o

Fast forward 25 years to today. Nintendo's Mario has come a long way, Microsoft put itself on the gaming map (cont.)

with Halo, proving that all it takes is one killer app to get a good foot in the door, and although it took Sony a while, we finally have our Sony Poster Child, Nathan Drake and the Uncharted series. Games that utilize breathtaking visuals and amazing musical scores. While Mario games will never truly go for a "full realistic" look, their fun factor will never be matched by any other game out there. Halo proved that with careful programming and care, FPS can live and breathe on a console (cont.)

whether online or off, and Uncharted proved that what Blockbuster Hollywood films have been lacking in recent years, a trio of games have come out of the woodwork's and trumped more than half of what Hollywood has made over the last ten years.

Now my Mom just gapes in awe at what games can accomplish, all It took was a little Uncharted 2 to get her to open here eyes after all this time :D

@LAMT19 DUnno if i answered this comment already, apologies if I have not, but yeah, 1 I got the game, 2 she's pretty excited to see more of Drake, she just finished watching it in spanish again just the other day, 3. I think it's a great game for both players and spectators, I mean before I played these games, I saw screen shots of part 2 and thought to myself, "Well lookie here, another shooting game takes top place, ho hum"

Little did I know when I rented UC2, that it's be one kick ass game.

@cybermeerkat Dude I wasn't arguing about DVD vs Bluray. It doesn't matter. It took time for Bluray to catch on DVD is still very relevant. Its about the games and personal taste of each system,. Some like Xbox more because its better integrated with its online. I agree, PS3 is better tech and better exclusives. My argument with the above is, you don't have to be blind to one side. BOTH have great games. Enjoy the games, not the pissing contest of who is better.
