Oh, Advise from a Southern California Local to people watching this - make SURE you check out Santa Monica Promenade & Pier on a Friday or Sat night, it's about 15 miles from LAX or so, and you can drive there in about 30-40 minutes on all side streets. You DON'T want to miss it, trust me! :-D
