if you can make it, Homles Harbor on whidbey Island, near Freeland county park, has been closed to commercial and tribal crabbing all year and only just opened to recreational on July 2nd. There are tons of Dungees in there according to the WDFW marine biologists. I can't get them my way, wade crabbing, as the sand is like quicksand - but if I had a boat that's where I'd go. I saw too many large carapaces on the beach.
what is the limit for recreational crabbing? And how much does a commercial license cost?

Do you know crabbing is closed on sundays? It's only open Wednesday - Saturday.

Sorry, there are areas open on Sundays, just by Olympia or up by Neah Bay. My mistake.
