oo i love it love it love it... i dislike comparing elliott because he is in a genre all his own and came before most of my other favorite bands, but this song does remind me ( due to its explosive orgasmic nature / sound ) of built to spill, and also a song by brand new lacking lyrics.
Don't forget Elliott's band Heatmiser. His noise music reminds me of a Heatmiser like band with orchestral guidance. Just listen to the instrumentals that never made his last album and the guy did a 180 and then came back to it in such a revamped and massively beautiful form.
elliott made history with each song , soon the whole world will adore him. just give it a few years. no one has ay idea how magnifacent he really truley was. timeless
agreed, I still bring up Elliott with friends and at parties where I talk bout music and people have no idea who he is. Thats kinda that charm of the whole situation, what good is a secret if everyone knows
@Somethingpower In a perfect world, he would definetly be up there as one of the very best, but alas the music market is catered to the general public, which is the shallow and stupid.

Are you guys retarded? This song sucks. "see you on heaven" is good instrumental Elliott Smith- if this is even him- which l admit, it probably is-it is no where up to his his standards. He possibly could have made this into a gem but in it's current form, it is not.
As most ES fans know he was trying to experiment with what he called "noise music" - and I think this is just a "poppy" song done in his "noise music" vision. Because a lot of the noisier stuff that actually made the Basement album I've heard acoustic versions of...and I just rarely hear his pop songs on acoustic without a live band. This would have been a crazy song if lyrics were put to it. I don't even know how a guy like Elliott would envision it.
thanks for adding your useless conclusions, I gave u 2 months to gain some credibility, which aparantly wasnt enough time. Sit back and just enjoy, not many other options to pick at
@reversepolygamy I was the person that leaked this, it was on a CD-R that Elliott gave out to close friends. He wanted his friends to hear it even though it was incomplete, to get some feedback and expound on the sound. We are all friends of Elliott.
just relistened to that part with great quality headphones and those are all guitars and overdubs, the cymbal crashes seem to interact weirdly with the escalating guitar parts, that may be why
kinda sounds like a lil John Cage influence creeping in ? Im sure Elliott was hip to the radio tuning stuff and whatnot.
