the dark magic skill is imba...i killed over 2k magma dragons using puppet manipulation and having some obstacles on the map as help, I also killed over 2k black dragons with 700 vampires(oke sure they are quite alot) just by putting them in the corner; by doing so only 1 stack could atack, helps if u have vampirism to..just to get more life back on the vampires:P

@wertuy6785 In 5? Overall, its Pheonix. Highest attack, highest defence, highest speed, highest iniative, average damage range and that damned fire shield ability. The only thing stopping them from becoming cheating is their relatively low hit points (150) and the fact that they cannot be recruited from normal towns.

@sdfrdet I think there is a neutral dwelling for them, which means most maps won't even have it (think of it like the Azure Dragons from 3, awesome but only in neutral dwellings). Or you'll have to use summoning magic, there is a spell that lets you summon one per battle.

Almost looked like something the AI would do. 1 Conscript stacks? gimme a break, he's just exploiting the game engine to get the win. Sure there might be some skill involved but it's not they way the game was designed for, i prefer to get my wins with a bit more honor, sorry.

@razalin He's "exploiting" what he has at hand, marksmen with highly increased offense within 3 squares range and conscripts. At melee range the marksmen can't shoot and become nigh useless, so he uses the conscript stacks within 2 squares around his marksmen to block the vastly superior phoenix units both from getting to his marksmen and keep them in optimal range. Tactics is exploiting what you have to the fullest. So what would you do? Send the marksmen to fight with daggers... "with honor"?

Heroes 1 and 2 are better than Heroes 5. Thats just my opinion. And ofcourse like many Heroes 3 is the best and Heroes 4 sucks. What I hate about 4 is that you cant upgrade all the units in the castle. What I also hate is that you can have a hero who can attack. I liked that you can send scout troops on map. That was cool!

Note that with the Marksman special (and the hero is a knight, so she must have high attack anyway) Each of those marksman is doing damage closer to max (8 damage). That type of damage is more lvl 4-ish.

What's really impressive is how his inquisitors and conscripts didn't all die in one shot, so that hero there must be pretty high level. (The hero is also a knight with shockingly high mana)

AI had little to do with this. What more could the phoenixes have done? This is more like gameplay bug/glitch abuse.

As for the damage, check again. Quite a few of those shots were Luck shots, and this guy probably knew enough to take Elven luck (+25% luck damage). Attack offers Archery+Frenzy. Combine that with Marksman specials (higher damage at shorter range), insane damage (they may be lvl 2, but they do *2-8* damage) and choice items (like a +1 damage pendant) and there you have it.

@Lucitaur: precise shot + bless + Attack + Archery + Retribution & positive morale + a shitload of luck = not average marksmen anymore :)) Plus, the neutral phoenix isn't that much of a fright, definitely not like the summoned one (It has around 120 HP). And the cloned marksmen count too, so it wasn't only 157 :P

one question though: how is the perk progression in HoF, cause I haven't played it much? You could get retribution without Battle Frenzy? :-o
