its a reason to go vegetarian...all meats contain some pretty nasty pathogens. poultry = bird flu, beef = mad cow disease. the worst thing you'll find in an apple is a tasty grub.

2 get sick from meat it has 2 be contaminated with alot of the same virus other than that as long as u cook it right, your stomach acids will kill any viruses like salmonella b4 they get the chance 2 multiply in your intestines. also the swine flu is an airborne virus so no worries about eating meat, unless sum1 sneezed on it.
