I have raised puppies which I agree Is a joy and positive re enforcement is usually all you need, if the dog ever bites for any reason a different approach is needed. Rescuing a severely neglected or abused dog is completely different story as well.
I still think your headline is misleading, although I see your dog is very happy and well adjusted congratulations and good job. :)
@whitehorsejason the entire purpose of desensitization and counter-conditioning is to work the dog sub-threshold so it stays more in a calm/casual state so that it can learn how to do alternative behaviors. There's also a component of associative learning when working sub-threshold. The dog being worked around lower intensity provoking stimuli gets what they want which is either more or less personal space and/or really high value treats and/or a game of chase/tug.
@whitehorsejason Another thing is a proper behavior change program isn't about setting the dog off (getting an aggressive outburst) to correct it. If the dog gets to it's threshold point or above it causing it to react aggressively to the provoking stimulus then you are in 'damage control' - not in a training platform.

Your dog is good and gets lots of treats. Doesn't look aggressive though.
