Why does all beautiful white Explorers/Flying V's I watch on YouTube has that shit worthy EMG's pups installed? They all sound the same LOL.... Gibson owners who puts EMG in such superb guitars should be put in gas chamber......

@TCRos15 Don't take it serious man ;D. I just hate EMG's, and even more I can't stand when people put these in Gibson guitars. I have played on various guitars with price range from 500-1500$ all with EMG's, and all of them did sound the same....Maybe I'm too conservative, but if you buy high end guitar it should be prohibitet to switch original passive pups with EMG's that can sound like HAMMET while installed in a BROOM!!!...........

@petkopeet No its all good dude. The reason i went for the 84 reissue with the EMGs is because of the aesthetics more than the sound. Kind of from a collector's standpoint. The crunchiness and snarl of the EMGs is pretty similar on most decent guitars, but the whole package with the alpine white Explorer makes for a pretty amazing guitar. Thisthing is a rhythm guitarists dream. Ive played a lot, this one is amazing.

I Don't Like The White Finish It looks Cheap, with a Pickguard makes it look Better. Triangle knobs look bad and Toggle position is Shit. I Like My Explorer with the Toggle on The Cutaway and My Straight in Line Knobs. My Explorer looks Classy, Though this is Yours Enjoy it! Hail James Hetfield

Maybe just a point of view. I have got a 1993 '76 R Ebony and a 1985 (vintage, not a reissue) Explorer and still prefear the '76 R.

@airjordanfan94 Epiphone's aren't hand made in the U.S. for one. The epiphone probably doesnt have some of the features like types of wood etc. It might not have an ebony fretboard or something. As far as looks it would be hard to tell the difference

Its a cover they did in 1984. It was not officially released until Garage Inc.

PS- you guys started listening to metallica after the black album or what? Blitzkrieg is on some Kill'em all cd's ( i think the japan edition, a friend of mine got on... and the song was even released in their EP called Creeping Death / Jump in the Fire ...in 1984 .... ^^

@AirgunAddict256 It's a Blitzkrieg cover that featured on a 1984 EP called "Garage Days Revisited '84", and went together with "Am I Evil". The EP sold out quickly, but both songs then featured in B-sides of Ride The Lightning albums of a few countries.

You can find it on CD 2 of Metallica's covers albums "Garage Inc."

Gibson reissued it in 2008. Thats what this is. I have however seen just one epiphone version on ebay before and i have no idea what thats about. Gibson's version is more known though

ooohh i know that "EET FUK" is in an ESP, but the ESP explorer is more legendary because is the explorer most used in seattle 89 ;)

Well yeah it was used in Seattle 89, arguably th ebest Tallica show ever. But James got his ESP in late 87. The 84 explorer was used to record and tour for Ride the Lightning and Master Of Puppets and stayed on the road with James up through the Black album along with his ESP guitars. So I'd rather have the 84 Gibson. Arguably Metallica's #1 and #2 albums were recorded and toured with it
