@kittenrenea You don't have to take my word for it. Do some research, its official that KJV has thousands of mistranslations - some may have been on accident. Many of the instances of "hell" were mistranslated. If I'm not mistaken all of the instances of "satan" and "lucifer" (definitely all of "lucifer") were added in KJV. Lucifer was originally describing an actual fallen Babylonian king. Lucifer translates to "light-bearer" or "bringer of light".

Actually there are several different versions of the bible out, each with significant differences. You might wont to do some investigating. You can find the different versions in the library in the fiction section.

The Bible tells us that God made these things, and it also says specifically what they were made for...you either believe the Bible or you don't. I do. Maybe one day you will too. I hope so. @kittenrenea You don't have to take my word for it. Do some research, its official that KJV has thousands of mistranslations - some may have been on accident. Many of the instances of "hell" were mistranslated. If I'm not mistaken all of the instances of "satan" and "lucifer" (definitely all of "lucifer") were added in KJV. Lucifer was originally describing an actual fallen Babylonian king. Lucifer translates to "light-bearer" or "bringer of light".

Yes it does, watch Ring of Power. If there wasw a historical "jesus" he was in the royal family, he was the NWO king! They didn't "manipulate' anything, they invented it! The N.T. was a creation of the Council of Nicea. They robbed another religion & twisted it. On the very first page of the OLDEST bible (Stone's Tanach/Torah) is says on the FIRST PAGE "This is not a history book". MAN wrote the bible, not god or gods or anything "divine".

I have read the bible, it was a long time ago but it was rubbish even when I was younger, Ive also read the Koran , tibetan book of the dead, prophesies of nostradamus and other works of fiction. check out the periodic table, or fred hoyles work on nucleosynthesis,hawkins a brief history of time..i could go on. the bible is the only litarature your cult has. Science has great libraries of evidence , were adding to it every day . smell the coffee.

The Bible itself hasn't changed, and we consistently find it to be true more everyday, and you can't deny that.

Actually there are several different versions of the bible out, each with significant differences. You might wont to do some investigating. You can find the different versions in the library in the fiction section.
Its been altered so many times in the past thousands years that only the basic ideas are in tact.
And just a side note for those self-righteous religious people. God is just an imaginary friend for grown ups, and you people arent any better than anyone else.

Buying useless crap, keeps the economy going, that is, the economies of the Imperialist War Machines (particularly UK & US) which has a dual puprose:
More taxes raised to impose puppet tyrannies (governmental & corporate) abroad (US & UK have installed 20+ dictatorships since WWII).
More taxes to keep the military industrial complex in place, which as well as keeping the economy afloat, helps maintain the divide between the people & the privileged few.

Of course, the economy needs to keep going, to keep people fed & clothed, so not spending & not working, probably isn't the answer.
People organizing into groups opposed to corporate tyranny, war mongering, monopolization of land & resources & effectively taking control & enacting some form of self governance, probably is the answer.
In the meantime, ethical consumerism, vocal opposition to war & activism puts you on the right track.

When we are talking about Consumerism in the Edward Bernay's sense of the word (rather than just general consumption), we specifically mean the items that we don't really need, but which advertisers have manufactured a 'need' for, by using unconscious manipulation.
I urge you strongly to watch (at least the first episode) of the BBC documentary:
The Century of the self.
It explains how Bernays helped base a major portion of the US system on 'consumerism' as a means of population control.

Edward Bernays was the PR consultant to The United Fruit Company & needed to find pretexts to get the US to overthrow Arbenz after he threatened to expropriate United Fruit land & rent it to the poor.
Of course the U.S. ended up torturing & slaughtering 200,000 people in Guatemala.

Bernays convinced politicians & CIA officials that Arbenz was a Soviet puppet.
The CIA carried out Operation Washtub planting arms with Soviet markings on Arbenz to associate him with the mythical Communist attempt to take control of the World, to justify the overthrow of his democracy.
Bernays successful use of anti-Communist propaganda became a bit of a theme & was used to justify overthrows of 20+ governments & many wars, including the deaths of 6-7 million people in Indochina.
